I didn't make a big deal of covering up either-- and really, the covers and the blankets just shout out LOOK I'M BREASTFEEDING OVER HERE! :lmao: :lmao:

Besides, it's American culture that breasts are such a sex object. Not so in other parts of the world.

Too true. :)

He's wearing this dark navy one-piece pjs (with the footies?) with white snowflakes on them. He has four teeth in his head, with two more "buds" coming in on top. And his hair is all wispy and standing on end from sleep. And his smile is soooo beautiful, it's just unreal! After a rough night, how could he smile like that? He was such a good, happy baby.

Of course now look at him... :rolleyes1

He's still a happy little guy, he's just so dang energetic, pushy and opinionated! :lmao:

Tyra's audience was full of moms, and she had working moms sit on one side of the room and SAHMs on the other.

That's just stinky to still get people worked up about it... I think each parent grapples with the decision.. but really, can't we get beyond the "who's better" arguement??

The stereotype that mom is at home, dad works and the kids are happy as lil clams.. that was a very short period of American history. Reality is that until the late 40's it was commonplace for all of the family to work together to feed/clothe /shelter. Mothers worked too!

Who are you kidding, it was NEVER like it was on Leave it to Beaver!!! :lmao:
I remember some comedian asking, "Is that what it was like at your house? 'Cause it sure as heck wasn't like that at MY house!" And the whole audience roared in agreement. :rotfl2:

Well, our neighborhood has some sort of festivities today that we feel compelled to participate in. ;)

I have no idea what all is involved, other than a kiddie parade, some sort of food and some games for the kids. The guys have all been showered (DS4 snuck in on Daddy's shower  :lmao:, and then we figured we may as well throw DS7 in right after ) so I'm the one left to be cleaned up so we can get going.

I might be on later, not sure how long the neighborhood stuff lasts today, plus DH bought a few "safe and sane" fireworks for after dark tonight.

I hope you all have a great day! :yay:

He's a BOY! , becoming his own lil self. :goodvibes

Funny, my "OMG, I want to cry because he never stops crying" baby that became "OMG I'm going to tear my hair out, he's driving me nuts" boy has turned into the sweetest polite and caring young man. :goodvibes

And my "happy laid back, aww how cute" baby has become "URGH! teenagers!" :headache:
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Have a gorgeous.. SAFE.. day and night :cool1:

Someone was setting off big exploding fireworks-- during the day time? BOOOM BOOM BOOM

what a waste!

I think the same thing. DS7's babyhood was so hard, so stressful due to colic and serious respiratory illnesses, trouble eating (he was seriously underweight until about age 3) and then surgery at 14 mos. old. Now he's my fairly well behaved child who is hardly ever sick (knock on wood!)

DS4 was the wonderbaby to make up for DS7's difficult infancy. He was a dream baby, always happy and smiling, not sick nearly as often (though he did get super-high fevers.) Now he's mouthy, obstinate, defiant, mischievous, and clever as all get-out, which is a difficult combination for we parents! :rotfl:

Fortunately he's still happy, loves to sing, loves to play dress-up and pretend, loves to snuggle. I'm telling you, it's the only reason he hasn't been taken out to the curb Wednesday mornings. :rotfl2:

I didn't go to DL yesterday. I woke up at 5:30am and was planning to go but had a change of plans. It's okay though because my bf and I are going tomorrow. :yay:  I will renew my AP pass and we will park hop together.

My bf bought the So-Cal Residents 3-Day Park Hopper for $99 from Disney Store yesterday.

Okay, time to kick some barbarian booty in Diablo II. I started playing it again. I forgot how the cinema scenes (where they tell the story) freaked me out! :faint: :scared1:

Diablo II is one of N's faves, to me it's just a continuation of the hundred other games that we own   Anyway, he wanted it very badly for his birthday back in Feb that we paid... yes.. really.. FULL PRICE! :scared1:

It made his day, he doesn't typically ask for anything specific for gifts. This time we got lucky! :goodvibes

well, DNTheMarine tm called me today..

When are you going to grandma and grandpa's house?

umm why?? I thought you bought a ticket straight thru to home?

I need a ride, I'm broke and the plane ticket all the way to "home" is expensive.

:headache: Sigh... fine.

As hubby says, He's still a teenager! :rolleyes1

Happy 4th of July Hyenas!

I'm at the inlaws house at the beach. It is about 60 degrees, periodically misting, a bit windy and well...what can I say a typical 4th of July on the Washington coast!

DH went to the reservation and bought a big package of fireworks for the kids and later this evening we will go down to the beach to let them off and watch everyone else's also. The fire danger is LOW, so we can have a nice little campfire. Just waiting for 3 more hours to dark so we can head down there. Went to a little 4th of July festival in Westport this afternoon, ate a hot dog and warm freshly made donut (not quit on my diet list)! Went to a few shops and looked around, walked on the docks, came home and took a little nap. Don't know what it is, but every time we go to the beach I spend the first 2 days sleeping.:confused3

Megan, sorry you had a bad meltdown! You're taking on a lot all at once, so you're bound to have a few bad days. Things always get better the next day, so hang in there!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Bernice, we forgot to fill the gas tank up on our way up here, can you come over and give us a ride home?:rotfl2: I think you somehow have an honorary 3rd son!

Bernice- your DS would be happy to hear that Blizzard recently announced Diablo III. They showed a demo in Paris and it looks awesome. It looks 5x's as hard as the Diablo II and the graphics are amazing. It also has cool moves the characters can do and they have some new characters, like this one witch doctor. He can do crazy things and my bf and I were like:  abuh....as we were watching it on you tube. :lmao:

I started playing Diablo II again. I just beat Act 1. I have a Level 13 barbarian and a hireling who is kicking rump! :rotfl:

My bf wants me to try Neverwinter Nights with him. He said we could play together and that it's more fun.
