Chats... a few questions

Hiya,
Just wondering:

a) If anyone ever chats outside of the 'official' ones set up (as have been in the room several times and no one is ever around!)

b) Why 9pm EST was chosen and if you ever do the 'official' chats at an earlier time?

c) Whether I should sneak in here at 2am (UK time) on chat nights whilst DBF sleeps and join you all? LOL (I think Ppl thought I was crazy when I did this on Monday for 10mins!)

Gaspode, we have a chat every Sunday at 7PM BST. It is a time chosen so that our UK DISers can get together and plan their trips. I hope you will join us this week.

I don't know why the 9PM time was chosen, it was in place before I found the DIS

I haven't been to chat in a while. But, when I used to go to CHAT, sometimes there would be others during the day and MANY times people hung around LATE at night.

Am going to set an alarm under my pillow... dont' want to disturb DBF and he already thinks I'm *addicted* to the DISboards - have only been here a few days! LOL

In the past I've stayed up many times into the wee hours and joined US Chat - and the vast majority of people on these boards were nothing but welcoming and friendly, especially to a new face There are of course the odd exceptions to that rule, but I always just ignored them.

Gaspode, I didn't mean to seem rude. I was giving you my honest opinion. I don't advocate or recommend sneaking out of bed and leaving a sleeping SO/Spouse to get on the DIS. JMHO.

I don't understand JTB's POV either - perhaps they think I should wake DBF up in the middle of the night to let him know I am going to have an hour talking to friends??!

But, whatever, 'each to their own' I always say!

Anyways, I wasn't asking people to 'recommend' me sneaking out, was just being silly/lighthearted!!

I think it's only fair to let DBF sleep when he has to be up earlier than me in the morning for work and it is me who wants to chat to ppls not him!!
