Chapter 18: The Ever So Long But Thorough Packing List
YAY….we’re going to Disney this week!! Well I’m going to be arriving on Saturday and Paula will be following shortly behind on Monday YAY!! I can’t wait its going to be fantastic!! So let’s discuss what’s new with us…
Well for starters I am officially down 27 lbs and I’m feeling so good!! I tried on clothes that I had bought that were a bit small and they fit wonderfully now! I’m excited to see my pictures at Disney!! I talked to P the other day and she has agreed to help me take a photo in a similar pose from my January trip so we can compare. Then Leslie and I will do it again in January so we can compare again, I think it sounds like a lot of fun to me!!!
Let’s see I have made my daily trip to Wally World and bought breakfast food items and I made a quick stop at Kohls to get a few camis that I adore!! I also bought a necklace or two off the clearance rack to practice accessorizing with LOL! Things are ready at school! The sub is lined up and I have made all the copies she is going to need and have organized my sub folder so come Monday she is ready to go!! That is one huge relief off my shoulders!! Speaking of school though I had a moment of panic today, I imagined that I had put the wrong dates on my leave form, so tomorrow morning I’m checking with our head secretary to make sure my leave is all in order, no one is messing with this trip LOL!
This week Prince P is away at school and you know what they say about when the cat’s away…well this mouse is playing a lot! I have a trip to the spa on Wednesday and the hairstylist on Thursday! I’m so ready for some relaxation!! The only thing I’m not looking forward to is Open House which is tomorrow night.
Okay so as many of you know P survived the weekend bday sleepover!! The tween girl invasion is over and things are getting back to normal!! I believe she has started packing and is working on her to-do list! P has been spending her free time working on her porch! She is the process of having her front porch remodeled, thanks to a very nice estimate! So she has to finish getting it painted before she leaves because the workers start working on the 5th. If it isn’t done, she’s going to have to reprime the whole porch and that doesn’t sound too appealing. Paula also mentioned that she still had a few things that she cannot mention to finish up LOL!! So she is a very busy bee!!
So let’s take a look at my to do list…
• Go to Bank, get quarters (for the toll booths) DONE
• Wal-Mart (I live at this store LOL) DONE, DONE, and WILL BE DONE AGAIN TOMORROW MORNING, I GO DAILY LOL!
• Stop by costume shop (need to pick up one final item) DONE• Bath and Body Works (I have been inspired by Jen!!) DONE
• Decorate gift bags (DONE)
• Make my “I’m the Quiet Friend” t-shirt (yes a lovely DISigner made me a design YAY)
• Finish Itinerary Note cards (I’m not carrying my huge binder around so I have note cards that fit very nicely in my front pocket of my backpack). DONE
• Get a manicure DONE
• Scotch guard my park bags and tennis shoes. DONE• Begin packing DONE
• Check binder and make sure all paperwork is in order DONE• Get a pedicure
• Play around with the settings on my camera DONE•FINALLY FINISH MY TR (YES I AM GOING TO DO THIS!!! MUST GET THIS DONE!!)
YAY so the only things left to do is make my t-shirt, finish my TR, and get a pedicure and that is what I’m going to do, It must get done before the trip!! Other than that you’ll notice my list is done YAY!!! I will try to post a picture of my shirt when I finish it tomorrow night!
BTW…just in case you were wondering….I’m all packed! Yup that’s right the Queen of Over packing has once again over packed for Disney but I’m done!!!!! It’s all sitting in my spare bedroom just waiting to be loaded up in the car!!! So, since we are talking about packing I figured this update could be about my packing list. I’ll do another update before we leave with Paula’s packing list…the comparison will be quite scary I assure you. I’m definitely a firm believer of always being prepared and my list will reflect this! I hope I don’t scare you with my OCDness but if anyone would appreciate what I pack it would be my fellow DIsers! I had both of those on my list and totally just spazzed last night adding them!! I have remedied that!! Wow you live in Panama City!!!! You and I are actually only a couple of hours apart...I live in Pensacola!!! That is very cool, I come your way a couple of times of year!!!!

Girl, I thought I was an overpacker until I read your list. I think you pack as much as I do for our family of 4. Next time DH says I'm packing too much then I'll show him your list. In all seriousness, I used to pack as much stuff for myself as I do now for our entire family. It seems like as our family grows, my packing condenses.
