Your ADRs sound fabulous...in fact I'm so hungry now-and combined with the Hershey trip pictures-I think I may have to hit the freezer for a chocolate covered banana...:rolleyes1

Excellent info about the hidden Mickeys in movies-I never knew that-and I love Sleeping Beauty-she is my favorite princess-old school and Mulan is my favorite princess new school...:goodvibes

Awww thank you for stopping by!!! Cess pool of enabling has led to more disney trips and more purchases than I care to even think about, my wallet can't handle it LOL!!!

Hope you have much success with the shoes. That's a very important part of making the trip a good one.

I enjoyed seeing pictures of fun at 'other places',, and especially Nanna on the roller coaster. Very cute!

LOL!!! Yes I'm really enjoying my Asics they are a lot of fun I really really enjoy them!! I got my shake and bake sandals so I'm going to bake those tonight and give them a try I'm really excited!!!

All caught up now on flip flops, asics walking shoes, ADR's, vera bags, and such. I am 6 weeks away from my trip, so I know you guys aren't too far behind.

Happy planning.....

I am going to post my ADR's on my current TR this weekend (instead of doing a PTR), so please stop by to comment!

Having seen much discussion of vera bradley bags around here, I know you all will appreciate this story.
We just spent a week in Virginia (near Williamsburg) visiting my MIL and SIL, both of whom will be joining us in WDW in December. My SIL is about 10 years older than me and has two teenage sons, no girls. So when we see them, which is at most once a year, she likes to spoil my girls. They are 6 and 8. She bought them tons of presents. On our last day, Thursday, we went to this little gift shop in her town that she likes. I was looking for one more thing for my mom, who was dog-sitting. They carried a lot of VB stuff. In fact, they had a whole section of 50% and 25% off stuff. I browsed and debated, but wasn't in love with any of the patterns or products. My girls liked the visors. I said, no, you don't need a $20 visor (I think on sale it was 16.50. But Daddy said, okay plus a lovely $8 silky scarf each! Well SIL thought the girls needed a little bag to match their VB visors. SO, she bought each of them a purse FULL PRICE!!!! DId I mention she's a shopaholic? They are each a little different, sort of small hobo styles. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!! I kept protesting, no they don't need these, too fancy, too expensive... No one heard me. Paige has a really cute pattern, brown with purple, sorry can't remember the name. They cut the tags off.
So now my daughters each have a VB bag. I have none. I will be borrowing theirs. I told them if they take it outside to play with or I find it in the garage, it's mine!
Thanks for sharing in my astonishment. :)

Sheree...what a story!!! I would be borrowing there purses too...I'm such a Vera Addict!!! Next time you need to get them to buy you one too LOL!!!!!!

Speaking of which I think I might have heard a rumor that P might have bought another Vera...of course until I see the pictures it is yet to be proven!!!

Well guys, expect udpates soon!! I have 3 in the works and they are going to be sent to P to approve LOL and then you will finally find out about this trip instead of about our Disney shopping habits LOL!!!!

Chapter 10: I'm a damsel. I'm in distress. I can handle this. Have a nice day. -Meg (Hercules)

This is often how I feel when planning the park itinerary for a Disney trip!! I’m a Damsel and I’m in distress, however over time when things start to fall together I know I can handle it and a park plan develops. This was definitely the case with Paula and I’s trip there was some distress over park planning. I mean when you plan a trip in January and you have to wait until June for the hours to come out…you’re going to fret and be a bit anxious. We did our best to decide on certain things we really wanted to do…and we even decided on an off-site adventure we really wanted to try together!!! However a real plan would have to wait until a special evening in June, the hours were released while I was taking our teens from church on a trip to Tampa, FL to visit Busch Gardens. Well while the girls were watching a movie they had brought with them I figured I would log into the “Cess Pool” and low and behold Paula was in there…Perfect!! Our planning was about to be handled LOL!!!! So after about 2 hours of discussion and quick trips over to UG and TGM we had a plan!! Now you must be thinking, well how often has that planned been changed…well I can honestly tell you with the exception of just a couple of ADR switches we have not changed our park days once…our plan was just that good LOL!!!! That or we really didn’t want to deal with the distress of making a million changes so we said let’s go with it!!!
So here for your viewing pleasure is our park itinerary…including the special secret mission for Paula, Nobby and me!!!

Well as you know by now I will be leaving before Paula by a couple of days. My departure date is Friday, Sept 25th. After school I will be going to pick up my rental car and then hitting the road to drive to Lake City, FL! I will be spending the night there and will only have a 2 hour drive to Orlando Saturday morning.

Saturday- Sept 26th: EPCOT with C!!!

I hope to arrive at SSR pretty early in the morning and check in. Most likely my room will not be ready but I want to take care of my DXDP and get my KTTW card. Considering I will have my rental car I also want to acquire my parking permit and I won’t worry about dropping my luggage off until the room is ready. I then will either go explore the resort some or go ahead over to EPCOT. It will be opening weekend of Food and Wine so keeping that in mind I will mostly be there to just hit up a few favorites (Spaceship Earth, Test Track, and FP Soarin). As soon as World Showcase opens I will head over there and really spend the morning exploring the countries. (This might change and I might actually have a plan for this morning, but you’ll have to wait to see if that pans out in a future chapter). Mostly likely after a little bit of snacking I will head back and spend the afternoon enjoying SSR. Then I will head back to EPCOT and meet up with Christine for the first concert of the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and then dinner at Rose n Crown. If we’re feeling it we might just chill and hang out together until Illuminations!

Sunday- Sept 27th: Magic Kingdom Day!!

I will definitely arrive at rope drop and spend the day enjoying the park!! You all know I’m going to end up at the Haunted Mansion, definitely more than once!! I also plan on grabbing a fast pass for the Jungle Cruise; I just love the corny jokes of that ride!!! I’m still debating my lunch plans for that day whether I will go to a TS or just get a quick bite at a CS place (I really did enjoy the corndog nuggets in May). However, my dinner plans are set in stone and will not be changed, because I’m having a fancy dinner with a fine lady that evening. This evening C and I will be dining at the California Grill and will be there during Wishes! We are both very excited, so much so that C even sent me the menu the other day that she found on a TR and I think we both drooled all over our keyboards LOL!!!! After our amazing dinner, I’m going to head back to MK for their evening EMH and hopefully finally see the kiss goodnight!

Monday- Sept 28th: PAULA ARRIVES!!!! YAY!!!! A DHS Day!!!

This morning I’m going to throw my luggage in the car and go down and check out of my studio and head over to DHS for rope drop!! I’m going to let Paula check us in when she arrives and grab our KTTW cards and meet up with me for a lunch date at Mama Melrose!! I can’t wait for Paula to get there…YAY!!! We will spend the afternoon exploring DHS and then we will meet up with C for a wonderful dinner at the Brown Derby. We will be eating when the park closes so we will be able to take some empty park shots when we’re done. Because the park closes at 7pm that evening, I believe Paula and I might take the path from SSR over to DTD and get our shopping groove on and of course I’ll make a stop at Goofy’s for some of those pretzel rods that I love!!!

Tuesday- Sept 29th: An Off-site Adventure

Yes you read right, we are doing an off- site adventure! Our morning is going to start with breakfast at Kona Café. Tonga toast is calling my name, Yummy!!! Paula I believe will be indulging in the Macadamia Nut pancakes. What a great way to start the morning!!! So let’s talk about our adventure, well Paula and I enjoy a good thrill ride so we have decided to visit Universal Studios. When we first decided this we had to choose between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, what a tough choice! However in the end we decided on Universal, there was just so much more there we wanted to do. Then a little surprise gift came in the form of an email at the end of the school year. Throughout the year the State of Florida arranges with different corporations to offer special deals to us teachers, well they offered a pretty nice one at the end of the year. Universal Studio offered a free 2-Park Summer Pass to every Florida teacher valid through 9/30 and the opportunity to purchase 6 of these same passes for $80. WHAT AN AMAZING DEAL!!! Well, this changed things, now Paula and I could easily visit the best of the best of both parks for the day. So Paula has her list of Must-dos and I have mine and we are going to spend the day 9am-6pm at Universal! Paula has purchased for us the equivalent of Disney’s fast pass and we are ready to conquer!!

Since it’s an early evening Paula and I will head back to DTD and finally visit one of the CS locations down there. Now, neither Paula nor I have eaten at a CS in DTD, but we have heard great things…so what is your favorite CS in DTD????? We’d really like to know!!! Of course this will give Paula and me the opportunity to get our shop on, not that we really ever need an opportunity to get our shop on we just head to the “cess pool” and somehow, someone (usually me LOL) will end up spending money LOL!

Wednesday- Sept 30th: EPCOT DAY aka French Waiters will be Awaiting Day!!!

This is our full EPCOT day and it will be filled with Food and Wine goodness!! Lunch will be with Christine and her future hubby at Les Chefs…oh the best crème brulee on property will be mine again!!!! I haven’t decided if I’m going to start with the French Onion soup yet or try another one of their flatbreads!! Then we will explore some more EPCOT, maybe hitting up the Disney Visa Character Meet and Greet, and heading over the Yachtsman for dinner. Yes steak will be eaten that night YUM!!!! After dinner we are hoping to meet up with Heidi before Illuminations and just enjoy the good company and a great fireworks show!

Thursday- Oct 1st: We will Relax and Party!!!

I’m really looking forward to this day (okay let’s be honest I’m looking forward to every single day at Disney LOL). This morning we will get to sleep in and meet up with C at Chef Mickey’s for some breakfast food and character meeting!! After breakfast we’ll explore the resort and then head over to the Grand Floridian for some time at the spa. Pedicures are the treatment of the day and just like in January…I know from experience that nothing beats a pedicure mid trip to revive those tired feet. After the spa, we will join up with TK and maybe Heidi at the GF before our tea. I know C, P, and I are really looking forward to having the tea together! Depending on time we’ll either head back to the resort and change for the party or just change at GF into our party outfits, because this is the evening we will be going to MNSSHP!! Yes Paula and I will be dressing up…but you know what I think I’m going to save as what for the TR…so you’ll just have to come back and see what our plans for the party will be LOL!!!! The party will last until midnight, which is absolutely fantastic for me, because I can’t imagine anything better than ringing in my birthday than being with great friends in the Magic Kingdom!! Of course I promised Prince P that I will call him at exactly midnight so he can also be with me as I bring in my birthday!!!

Friday- Oct 2nd: Celebrating my Birthday AK style!

I knew it, oh yes I knew that Disney would come through for me. Whatever can I be talking about?? Well when hours were first released every Friday but the 2nd in October had EMH hours at AK! I was really bummed because one of Paula and I’s must dos was to ride EE at night! I was so looking forward to this and then NO EMH! I was sad, but two weeks later, Disney heard my silent wishes and the 2nd became and EMH Evening!! YAY!!!! So how will my birthday morning begin, well we will be attending a before rope drop breakfast at Tusker House! Lunch will be at Yak and Yeti….FRIED WONTONS will be mine!!!!! EE will be ridden at night and a parade will finally be seen. The evening will come to an end with dinner with some great ladies. P, C, and I will be dining at the new restaurant Sanaa!!! In case you were wondering, I plan to get the Disney Fun Card that day and one of my purchases will definitely be some Yeti slippers…Jackie introduced them to me and now they must be mine LOL!!! I have promised LL I will not spend my fun card on anyone else but me, she knows me too well LOL!!

Saturday- Oct 3rd: Meeting Jackie and Paula’s first time at MK!

I know it seems almost tragic that Paula will be arriving on Monday and won’t make her way over to MK until Saturday (well unless you count MNSSHP, but then that’s a party..not so much a visit to MK LOL), but that is the way it worked out!!! We will begin our morning at EPCOT to meet up with CP (Jackie) and her hubby of course sharing in some more Food and Wine fun and maybe a KP mission or two LOL!!! Lunch will be at Beaches and Cream, this is when we will have to say goodbye to C  ! Then Paula and I will end over to MK to spend the afternoon. This evening we have an early dinner at Crystal Palace and will end our night with Spectro and Wishes!

Sunday- Oct 4th: MK Morning and Departure Day

This is another special morning because we will be celebrating P’s birthday which is actually Oct. 19th! To begin the celebrating we have a before rope drop breakfast at the Castle!!! I’m really excited for this one!!! I’m hoping P and I will get some photopass pictures on Main Street while it’s empty! Then we will spend the morning exploring MK!!! I will also force P to find something she really really wants as her birthday gift! Then we will have a later lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, fried mozzarella anyone LOL! After lunch we’ll hit up a few more rides and then I have to leave around 3:00ish to drive home so I can get back and get a good night’s sleep before school the next day! Paula will have a little more time as her flight is later in the day!!

Once again we will only be saying See You Real Soon!! Because Paula will be coming back with her family in November and I will be back with Leslie (who unfortunately will not be joining us this trip, but is getting her return trip) in January!!!

So there you have it!!! Those are our plans and I hope you enjoyed reading them as much as I enjoyed writing about them!!
HAHAHAH…you thought I was done…but not quite!!! We are now 46 days away from Disney (48 for Paula) and this means it’s time for our HIDDEN MICKEY COUNTDOWN!!!

Today’s Movie Hidden Mickey comes from…

MARY POPPINS

mary-poppins-mv03.jpg

I just adore this movie! The songs are fantastic, and well the story itself is practically perfect in every way!! The Hidden Mickey can be found at the very beginning of the movie. When we are first introduced to Bert in the park playing his multi-instrument playing tool, take a closer peek at the side of his drum, and viola a Hidden Mickey!

Now for our Hidden Mickey in the park!!!! This time we head to DHS and the one ride where you could find Mary Poppins…

THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE

greatmovieridesign.jpg

I just love this Hidden Mickey! I look for this one every single time I go on this ride! This Hidden Mickey is located during the Indian Jones scene. You can actually find a hieroglyphic of Mickey and Donald having lunch together. The Hieroglyphic is a bit hard to see but it’s on the left and near the end of the scene!! Good Luck Hunting!!!

Coming Up in the next update: Magic Kingdom Must-Dos…and have we done more shopping?????

OMG. GREAT update. I have so much I wanted to comment on, I should have taken notes! In random order:

You and P are wearing costumes to MNSSHP?! Will you clue me in? Or do I have to be surprised too?

I am VERY much looking forward to our special dinner at Cali Grill! :goodvibes

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: on my future hubby being at Les Chefs. From your mouth to you know who's ears. ;) Or if that's not possible then let's at least hope for a darn cute waiter who likes to flirt! :upsidedow

I am really looking forward to Chef Mickeys and pedis and tea too. :thumbsup2

I know NOTHING about Universal or Islands of Adventure. Tell me more. What are your must-do's?

I may join you at MK on Sunday the 27th... I just realized I don't have plans that day. Or maybe it will be a pool day. One way or another I need to ride HM with Jen!

I didn't realize our Brown Derby ADR was after park closing! :woohoo: Now I'm super excited about the photo opps on the way out. In addition to being excited about the meal itself. I looked at the menu today just to be sure it hadn't changed. :rotfl2:

What else? Surely there was more I wanted to say. :confused3 Oh well, guess I'll just have to close by saying I can't wait to see you and Paula in WDW!!!! :woohoo::dance3::woohoo:

Wonderful update!

I was so happy to see Mary Poppins Hidden Mickey, must watch now so I can see it.

Your plans sound wonderful! I think you are going to have a fabulous time. :goodvibes

Oh your itinerary looks like so much fun! I want to be a gnomie!

I'd love to go to the tea at the GF someday and pedis? What a perfect, girly afternoon.:cloud9:

You and my DH share a birthday! He's a little too fond of reminding me that HE doesn't turn 40 this year.:headache: Just wait til next year, DH, just wait.;)

You've got some wonderful ADRs planned. I can't wait to read your restaurant reviews.:goodvibes

I adore Mary Poppins. I'll definitely be looking for that hidden Mickey!

Wow! Your trip sounds fantastic!! I'm drooling over all of your restaurant choices!!

Our favorite CS at DTD is Earl. It is just so good. I have heard good things about WPE too, so it will be a tough decision. :)

Can't wait to hear what you think of SSR, since we will be there in October. You'll have to give me some tips/tricks when you get back. :)

I forgot to add that you should only spend your Birthday Fun Card on YOURSELF. It's your Birthday!! :thumbsup2

Wednesday- Sept 30th: EPCOT DAY aka French Waiters will be Awaiting Day!!!

After dinner we are hoping to meet up with Heidi before Illuminations and just enjoy the good company and a great fireworks show!

I'll be hanging out in World Showcase that evening so just give me a ring on the cell phone after your dinner!

Thursday- Oct 1st: We will Relax and Party!!!

After the spa, we will join up with TK and maybe Heidi at the GF before our tea. I know C, P, and I are really looking forward to having the tea together!

Sadly you most likely won't see me at the GF....I figured out how much time it would take in traveling to and fro for me to have lunch at the GF Cafe (the reason I would be there) and it just wasn't worth it.

this is the evening we will be going to MNSSHP!! Yes Paula and I will be dressing up…but you know what I think I’m going to save as what for the TR…

The good news here for me is that I won't have to wait for the TR to know what your costumes were! I'll be arriving at MK early for the party and staying (hopefully) til midnight! And remember, you said you'd ride HM with me.....:flower3:

Friday- Oct 2nd: Celebrating my Birthday AK style!

Guess who is at AK this day too????? Yup me!!!! I'll be there from rope drop til about parade time. While you ladies at getting your foodie fix at Saana, TK, CP and I will be getting our drink on at Epcot.

Saturday- Oct 3rd: Meeting Jackie and Paula’s first time at MK!

Lunch will be at Beaches and Cream, this is when we will have to say goodbye to C  !

Any thoughts on what time lunch will be? I was going to join you guys because I'll be at DHS that morning until I head to Epcot.

Then Paula and I will end over to MK to spend the afternoon. This evening we have an early dinner at Crystal Palace and will end our night with Spectro and Wishes!

I swear I'm not stalking you.....but I'll be at MK for Wishes as well.

Sunday- Oct 4th: MK Morning and Departure Day

Remember that I'm not a stalker or plan stealer when you run into me here too! Actually I might go to AK this day but right now there is a 50/50 chance I'll be at MK before my flight home.

I'm getting so excited for this trip!

I love your park plans, but I just don't know how I feel about you wandering off-site! :lmao:

I need to look for the HM on the GMR -- it reminds me of how you can see R2D2 and C3PO on the walls of the Well of Souls in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Your plans sound GREAT!!!!! I wish I could stay longer on my trip to party some more with you girls....you are DEFINITELY going to have fun!

Wonderful update!

I knew you would enjoy the Mary Poppins references! I am going to have a great time!!! I really am!!!!!

Oh your itinerary looks like so much fun! I want to be a gnomie!

I adore Mary Poppins. I'll definitely be looking for that hidden Mickey!

YAY for October birthdays!!!!!! I'm really excited to eat at all the restaurants that we have chosen. I'm drooling just thinking about all the good food that will be eaten on this trip!!!!!

Wow! Your trip sounds fantastic!! I'm drooling over all of your restaurant choices!!

Can't wait to hear what you think of SSR, since we will be there in October. You'll have to give me some tips/tricks when you get back. :)

Thanks for the recommendations...I have heard great things about EOS in DTD so we might have to give it a try!!!! Of course WPE has creme brulee LOL!!!

I'm getting so excited for this trip!

Awww...I can't wait to run into you all the times we can Heidi...that is going to be fantastic!!

And yes you and I will definitely have to ride HM together!! YAY!!!

LOL...we will definitely let you know how the off-site adventure goes LOL!!!

I heard you could find those guys in there too...I'm really going to have to try and find them LOL!

Your plans sound GREAT!!!!! I wish I could stay longer on my trip to party some more with you girls....you are DEFINITELY going to have fun!

Awww I wish you could stay longer too...but I will enjoy my chance to run into you!!!

Wow! Your plans look fantastic!! What a great trip this going to be...I can't wait for the TR! :yay: I look forward to hearing about your escapade at Universal! I don't know much about that park and have only read a couple TRs from it.

My favorite CS in DTD is WPE I think. EoS is really nummy, BUT, WPE has more variety in case someone isn't in the mood for sandwiches. Plus WPE has really, really good creme brulee...drool. If you are on the DDP, WPE is a great value. If you are paying OOP and on a budget, EoS is the way to go-great food and a budget friendly price!
