Chasing a Dream: September Trip Report Update 12/11 FINAL THOUGHTS/TRIP FAVORITES

Welcome back!! Sorry you had to back to work right away. My DH took the day off of work, after we got back from Mexico this year and he said he was going to that every time we go on vacation. You just need a day to recoup. I can't wait to see all of your pictures and read about all of your adventures.

Thanks! Yes, next time I definitely plan to add another vacation day, this week has been rough!

I left work on Wednesday afternoon and rushed home to finish up packing and get the kids ready to go. We head out on a pretty nasty day, a pic from the car window:

We had an hour and a half drive to the airport, so we stopped at Burger King drive thru for supper since we wouldn't have time to eat in the airport. About an hour into the drive, Rachel says "are we going to Disney World or what?" It was so funny. Luckily we made it to the airport in time, here is Hunter checking out the flight schedules:

We flew with Southwest and they were awesome! We had the best flight attendants, who were so funny, they gave the kids lots of snacks and a coloring book and a little Southwest badge. One of our flight attendants is going to be on the "Price is Right" on September 24th. I'll have to try to remember to DVR that one! Luckily we were not on a "puddle jumper" plane like we took last year and even though the weather was not great, we had a smooth flight. Here are some pics of the kids on the plane:

So we arrive on time, around 8:30 at Orlando airport and stop for a few cute photo ops:

Rachel's favorite princess... (the mirror was really cute, it changed to all the different princesses)

After getting a little turned around, we finally make our way to the Magical Express area and head to catch our bus:

After standing in line maybe 2 minutes, we are directed to our bus:

We had to wait about 15 minutes for some other people to board, here are pics of happy kids, waiting to head to Disney World!!

They started up the welcome video and here are the husbands after about 5 minutes:

I'm sure the guys would be happy with me for putting those in here!!

We make it to POP and after we check in and get settled, it is about 11:00pm. So we drift off to sleep to wake up early for our Hollywood Studios morning!!!

You started , glad to hear you had a great time! So what did you think of Pop, what section did you get checking in so late? When we stayed there we were in 50's section preferred and it was really nice. loved the pics of the kids on the plane, they look excited.

Well in my last post I forgot to mention that when we checked in at POP, we were excited to see that our requests had been granted! I had requested the 50's building with connecting rooms and - SCORE! I was happy because I had to just have Southwest Vacations make a note, I didn't have any contact with Disney directly so I was expecting the worst, especially with checking in so late at night. But we were lucky! Will our luck continue???

Here are some pics of our resort:

We were in the Jukebox building.

I have a wake up call set for 6:45am (everyone was really happy with me - ). So after a quick breakfast at the food court (I had a chocolate muffin as a snack - it was sooo good!) we get to the bus stop around 8:30. Luckily we did not have to wait very long for a bus and we are headed to HS!

We did make it to rope drop. They had the show going on but we couldn't see much because we were too far back. But right after rope drop, we head to TSM!

We walk right in, and the line was actually moving a little too fast! I was trying take pictures but I had to keep moving! The wait area is sooo cute in there, you don't mind waiting!

So we get on the ride pretty quickly and THIS RIDE IS AWESOME!!!!! It was just too cool! Rachel is not crazy about the 3D attractions, so she wasn't crazy about it. She wasn't pulling her little shooter either, just pointing her gun, so this is our scores:

So after we finish up with TSM, we want to head to RnRC & TOT. We were passing by One Man's Dream so decide to go in:



We hadn't exactly planned to go in, BUT as we were leaving TSM and passing by, I saw some girls walking out with Dream Fastpasses on. So I said to everyone "I think we need to go in here." We parked the strollers and quickly head in.



And what do we see when we get in the door???








You guessed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!







THE DREAM TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We won!!!! We were so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After we won and went inside, we could hardly concentrate on looking around, but I did manage to snap a few pics....

I'm glad we saw the girls coming out, because I had heard that sometimes if the Dream Team were inside, the CM would encourage you to come in. The CM standing outside that day didn't at all. But after we came out, we did tell some people they should go inside so we did our part in helping other people win!

Did I promise you guys a lot of pictures or what?!

I hope I get the photopass cd late next week, they are going to be important in the rest of the TR. So I hope this update is enough to last a few days anyway....

Dream fastpasses on your first day in the parks!!!!!!!!! That's amazing! Didn't you just love TSMM! We rode it 3 times during our trip and it was just as fun each time. I hate that Rach didn't get into it, though. Maybe by your next trip she'll be ready to enjoy it. (My mind is always planning "the next trip"! LOL!) Can't wait for more . . .

We were in 50's building 1 on the 2nd floor. We faced the pool and were on the end near the jukebox. I loved it!

We were at DHS the same day! We got to the bus at 8:00am I think.
I was madly searching for DBF and I in the background of your DHS pictures!
You guys really scored with the Dream FP's! I can't belive we didn't see you but I wasn't really looking for Dis'ers too much. I was all wrapped up in Disney!

Hi! Just got back and had a great time~! We were in DHS yesterday and went into Walt's and just missed the Dream Squad by minutes! Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

Wow! Score! What a great way to start out your trip. We just got back last night. What a great trip. We were in 50's building too. Except I had requested building 3 Lady and Tramp building. So, we were pretty close. I kept my eyes open for people I'd seen on the Dis but never did see anyone I recognized. I had a broken arm on the trip so if you saw a blond w/ a cast it was probably me. Can't wait to read more about what you were all up to.

That's so cool that you got Dream fast passes! You whole family is very cute. And your daughters bangs look much better from her hair cut. Sometimes I guess its a good thing that hair grows fast!
