Chase Disney Rewards Redemption Card to Buy WDW tix online?

I am planning a trip to WDW for the upcoming MNSSHP and had some Disney Dollars saved up on my Chase Visa that I was going to use to purchase tickets online by ordering a Redemption Card... that is until I ran into this while looking into where the Reward card can be redeemed.

Does anyone know what this means? I don't want to redeem the rewards until I know for sure that I can use them to buy tickets online. Thanks!

I think what you quoted refers to the package deal (6mos no interest).

I recently redeemed my points towards tickets. you shouldn't have a problem.

You will be fine. The redemption card is basically a Disney Gift card.

I thought so too but I looked through the site and that is the description for redeeming rewards at WDW. Kinda weird because if you try to buy tickets online it has the options for the rewards redemption card and there's no exclusions listed.
As usual I'm a little confused by Disney websites I'm hoping it was old? or someone was confused?

OP I would think you're ok. Worse case scenario is you have to call in to buy them or you use the redemption card to buy a Disney gift card and then use the GC to buy them online. I bought MNSSHP tickets online with my redemption card, but it was 2011 so take that with a grain of salt.

Redemption rewards cards don't have expiration dates anymore, so if the inconceivable happens and you can't get the tickets with it, you can still use the redemption card on something else and then use the "something else" money for the tickets. (if that makes sense)

I used a redemption card to partially pay for my AP last year, and to buy mnsshp tickets. There were no issues.

Thank you all! I remember an option to use a gift card at checkout, but didn't see the option to use the Redemption card. I'll go ahead and order it and, as previously stated, it doesn't expire and I will use it eventually.

I also have purchased Disney GCs at the Disney store (in store) using my redemption card because recently Disney (online) has not allowed more than a credit card and one other form of payment, so I couldn't use a Disney GC, redemption card and credit card in one transaction. You shouldn't have issues using just the RC online, but if you wanted to use a GC too, you may have to go that route!

Interesting... I'm surprised they let you buy GCs with RCs. Thanks for the info!
