Chase cards not working on MDE

Is anyone else having this problem? I tried my Chase Sapphire and the Premier Disney Visa to make an ADR and have not been able to get them to go through for a few days now. Finally, after they failed again this morning I switched to a Capital One card and the reservation was processed just fine.

The cards otherwise work fine, just not for holding ADRs, though I haven't tried to buy anything else through the WDW website recently. I'll be buying an AP soon, so I hope there's no problem with that!

I made a A DR w/ my chase SW card without any issues, although that wasn't today. Oddly enough random ATM,S in our neck of the world were out today.

I have my Disney visa on here.
Made ADR's the other day just fine.
It sounds like have your chase card saved to your profile. (I used to have it on there but I took it off, because I don't want it sitting there waiting to be hacked. I'll put it back when we actually go to Disney, though).

So I had to enter the card number to hold the ressie and it would not process.

Yes, it worked fine in the past, and works fine everywhere else, just not for this particular thing over the last couple of days.
What amazes me about ATMs is how my kids think that they'll always be around, and functioning, and with enough money in them. When they went off to college I gave all three of them a couple hundred in cash to keep handy just in case. All it takes is a big storm or other disaster and suddenly cash is king, but they don't get that. I'm pretty sure my DD spent her stash. Oh well, I tried.

Held an ADR today with a Chase Sapphire Reserve but I registered on my account a few months ago, no issues.

Call and see if it has a block. Sometimes they do a hold on things maybe it's just stuck.

I was a victim of the Starwood/Marriott hack and since then I don't let any companies store my credit card information. Especially with the high quality of the MDE IT team (obvious sarcasm there) I have no reason to believe their cybersecurity IT is any better. I'm going to put it on my profile right before we leave for our trip though- Chase Sapphire has the best perks going!

Why would they have a hold on Disney? It's not like it's the Fendi shop in Paris (that's a story for another day )!
Somehow I think this is on Disney's end but if it keeps up I guess I'll have to do that.

I had trouble yesterday trying to buy a photopass picture on MDE. It kept saying I was missing information when it was all there.

Well, I don't know what was going on, it's all fixed now. Just used a Chase card to switch an ADR, and I didn't put it in my profile.
More MDE mysteries, I guess :confused3

Um, CC info is never truly erased from systems like that. It's still in their back end. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there. So doing what you're doing isn't doing what you think it's doing.

If someone hacked into YOUR MDE they still wouldn't be able to do anything with your card info. You're just creating extra work for yourself, when your credit cards are totally protected in terms of liability. And if they are debit cards, I'll tell you that Chase put my money back in my checking account literally one day after someone used my debit card info to buy two tickets on Air China. It was most excellent.

A relative's Chase rewards card was once cloned and used while it was literally in the mail to him; hadn't even been activated. If only criminals would put their intelligence to good rather than evil!

100% this.

If anyone wants to protect their cc/debit information the best protection is text/email alerts for every transaction and to immediately contact your bank/issuer when you get a fraudulent charge.

AGREED.

I caught an international charge to my debit card, and within five minutes my bank had my card canceled and I was packing my kids into the car to head to our local branch to have a new card printed and sign paperwork to get our money back and to deal with the legal stuff. While I was there, they tried using the canceled card again (probably about 15 minutes after the first charge). Everything we use has alerts on it. Anything over $1 and any international charges.
