Charm Bracelet questions

I am thinking of getting one of the charm bracelets and let DD pick out charms to represent our trips we have taken. First do the charm bracelets fit adults or are they sized just for kids? And secondly how well do they hold up? I wouldn't be wearing mine all of the time, just for special occasions.

I have limited funds for souvenirs and thought this might be a unique idea, but if it isn't worth the $ then I will put the souvenir money somewhere else.

My girls have one and they each get to pick a charm every trip. Now the bracelet itself will fit an adult. We have one pink and one blue and the paint is coming off. So maybe if you get a plain silver it would be ok. We have had it for almost six years and they haven't broke and my youngest wears hers all the time.

I have the plain silver one. My wrists are small and usually adult bracelets do not fit me. It is big on my wrist, but it has not fallen off. If I shake my wrist hard it would. You can adjust it, but you will have extra hanging off. I don't wear mine all the time. I usually hang it in my room and add a charm on for each trip.

I had a silver one as a child and my parents would buy me a new charm every trip we would take. I have 30+ charms over my 27 years. Once I had my first daughter we bought her a silver one to continue the tradition and I stopped adding to mine. We bought an adult size one, because this is not something for her to wear as a child. One bit of caution, regular silver charms are hard to come by these days. Most are the Troll Beads or Pandora charms anymore. So you may consider one of these. Although, I prefer the regular charms to the bead charms. Now we purchase charms for both DDs, and I am sure they will enjoy it as adults as much as I enjoy mine from my childhood.
