Charlotte Singedskull and the Frozen Castle-Aug 30 thru Sept 4- Complete!

I'd almost be tempted to go for Mrs. Pott's tea too. Hard to beat some chocolate milk and PB&J. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

They seemed perfectly willing to accommodate us. They gave my DD apple juice in her tea pot and since she is allergic to nuts, they gave her just ham and cheese for her sandwiches.

The heat never really bothers me much, but we are from the South and we are used to it. We also had Frogg Toggs and lots of water with us. I hope she was OK, too. I think you are right when you say that some people are not prepared for how hot it really is. I think most people look at the temps and see low 90's and think "I can handle low 90's". But low 90's with 100% humidity and a heat index of 105 is a completely different animal. It can really get brutal and you need to be prepared.

This was our first time doing the Tea as well and I was so glad we did it. It was amazing !! I highly recommend !!

Okay, what are Frogg Toggs??

I would love to do afternoon tea, but with an 11 year old boy, the odds are against me...

Frogg Toggs are those chamois cloths that are always cool when they are wet. You wear them around your neck to help keep you cool. Google it.

Yeah. Our boys were not too into it either. We really enjoyed it though.

Day 3 – Part 5

After our wonderful tea party at the Grand Floridian, DH drove over and picked us up and we headed back to the Beach Club.

We rested a while and I did some laundry. It started to get super dark outside like it was going to storm any minute. DD wanted to go down to the pool, but it was thundering so we stayed put. After a couple of hours, we went down to the Beach Club Marketplace to get dinner.

DD got the cheese flatbread

She really liked it.

DS got the ham and cheese sandwich – without mustard this time.

He said it was OK. He loved the chips though.

DH and I shared the Turkey sandwich again.

He got the cucumber salad this time. It was pretty good. I only had a few bites since I was still full from the tea.

For dessert, we got DD a cupcake

DH got a fruit tart

And we got DS cheesecake

It was all good enough. We settled in for the night. It never did rain very much though.

We are on the same schedule here...we both udpated. :rotfl::rotfl:

That ham and cheese sandwich looks pretty good, but those chips look awesome (they look like the ones they serve at the Plaza Restaurant which I absolutely drool over).

As soon as supper is over I will check your updates.

Exact same house made chips. Very yummy.

Great updates and pics.

I love doing the tea. Always a great time.

Hi there, I followed along on your spring break report and I'm here for this one too!

Great stuff so far :)

Great updates and pics.

Thanks Scott !!

I love doing the tea. Always a great time.

We really loved it !! I have been wanting to do it for several years. I am so glad we took the time to do it.

Hey :welcome: Thanks so much for stooping by and taking the time to comment.

Thanks !!!

Day 4 – Part 1

I had some delicious Oreo Bon’s Bon’s for breakfast. Here’s a photo in case you forgot what they look like.

I had two and they tasted so good with my coffee.

There was more frozen castle hilarity.

DD had swiped DS’s gift card and put it inside.

So he had to melt it in order to get it back.

We headed out to Epcot. Just a five minute walk away. We entered through the International Gateway and walked through World Showcase towards Future World.

I love an empty WS. So many photo opportunities.

I found this post box interesting.

We headed towards The Land to get fastpasses for Soarin’.

After that, we headed over to Sum of all Thrills.

DD loves this one.

After that, we rode Figment.

I had read somewhere that they were shutting this down at the beginning of next year, so we wanted to enjoy it while we could.

After that, it was time for our Soarin’ fast passes. This is my favorite ride. I just love it !!

We asked for and received a first row seat.

After that, we headed over to World Showcase for some lunch.

I stopped to take some photos in the beautiful Canada Pavilion

After that, we stopped in the UK for some grub.

Susan, great update. I will say that I love the Epcot resorts to walk in through the IG and get pictures of WS without a million people in them.

And you got some fabulous ones too!

Love Soarin (but fix that darn screen).

I had heard the same thing about Figment and then Bob Iger announced at some meeting and he said FIGMENT IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE!

True. This is one of the things I love the most about Beach Club and Boardwalk.

And you got some fabulous ones too!

Thanks !!

The screen didn't seems so dirty this time, but I agree that sometimes it is a distraction.

I had heard the same thing about Figment and then Bob Iger announced at some meeting and he said FIGMENT IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE!

That is good to hear. Perhaps they are doing a really cool update or putting it back to the original which seems to be the trend.

I just learned a new way that siblings can torture each other - freeze their brother's gift card in a castle of ice. :rotfl2: Very creative!

Beautiful pictures of Canada. It is such a beautiful country and you really captured the essence.

I thought it was so funny. He had to run hat water over it for a while to get it out.

Thanks !! I am not the best photographer, but the light was just right for me to get some good photos.

Hi Susan!

Reading along and enjoying your trip report. I love your photos of WS! Just gorgeous!

That was really clever of your daughter to freeze her brothers gift card. Did you come up with that herself or did she get a little help on that one?

Hi Susan!

Hey !! Welcome !!

Reading along and enjoying your trip report. I love your photos of WS! Just gorgeous!

Thanks !! It was the camera more than the photographer. I got lucky.

That was really clever of your daughter to freeze her brothers gift card. Did you come up with that herself or did she get a little help on that one?

She came up with it herself. And he came up with the original idea to freeze the castle. He was like, "Hey, my gift card!!" And she laughed and laughed. I may have as well. They are so funny !!

Day 4 – Part 2

When I stopped last, we were heading into the UK for some lunch. I have never stopped at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop and I have always wanted to try it. So we did.

Pretty much the only option you have is fish and chips.

This was really fresh and delicious. The fries were perfect.

DH got a beer.

And pretty much the only option you have for dessert is a sugar cookie.

It was a really good cookie though. Soft, but not too soft and the perfect amount of sweetness.

This all looked so good that the pickiest person alive – aka DD – even tried some fish, and wanted more.

Next, we headed over to France. DD had been talking about getting french beret. A pink one. And she explained how cute she would be if she wore one. And as her mother, who am I to argue with that ?? She had her own money, so we set off in search of the perfect pink beret.

And here we have it. DD looking cute in her pink beret.

She wore it all day.

We stopped to watch Server Amusant for a bit.

I don’t see how they do this. I would never have the nerve. Not to mention the athletic ability or flexibility to do it.

After that, we headed over to get a Grey Goose Slushie. And since it was super hot that day, it was perfect.

The yellow towel in my lap is a Frogg Togg. It is one of the chamois towels that stays cool when you get it wet. Even though I had sunscreen on, I could feel my legs burning, so I wore the Frogg Togg all day to avoid the misery of a bad sunburn.

DD loves the soft serve ice cream at the stand outside of France. So she had to get some.

It is really good ice cream.

After our snacks, we continued on exploring. Our next photo was taken in Japan.

DD and DS love the store in Japan and of course DD had to get something.

They have the cutest Hello Kitty stuff in there.

We stopped in Italy to watch this show.

More cute DD in her beret.

Then we moved on to Germany.

See the crowds ?? Yeah – me neither. Ahhhh September !!

DH got a beer in Germany. I just love the beer here. It is always really cold. And I like it that way. Especially on a hot day like that day was.
Next up – more World Showcase !!

That Yorkshire County fish always looks so delish! I must try that one of these days. We usually go in October, so with all the Food and Wine goodies, we never get around to trying the fish.

Your daughter looks adorable in her beret! I'm with her on soft serve ice cream.

Server Amusant scares me. I'm the logical worrier. Was there some kind of cushion on the ground around him? Don't these people know what happened at Cirque!?
