That sounds like a good idea. I'm in Randolph county but maybe can make it down to the big city to meet some of y'all. How about somewhere around Concord Mills -easy access, lots of restaurants to pick from.

I agree with you, Zippa D Doodah. Concord Mills is right off of the interstate so it is easy access. There are lots of restaurants around it. I think that may be a perfect spot. We will just have to pick a restaurant.

Doesn't Concord Mills have a Jillians? I would think people with kids would be able to entertain their kids.

I think SCDuckman is right about Jillian's at Concord Mills and that sounds like a really good idea. Can't believe all the York County folks I see poppin' up here and I have no idea why I'm sitting here grinning about it. Maybe cause I just realized that I am living here amongst what DD refers to as "my people" .
I'm flexible about the date. Just tell me when.

SOunds great. I am free this weekend but won't be free for the following 3 weekends in Oct. My best friend is coming from Seattle and then we are heading to WDW which will span the next 2 weekends.

Hi guys! It sounds like we have several people voting for the Concord Mills area. That works with me. Another suggestion though...... my DH manages a really good Italian restaurant names Frankies just outside of downtown Charlotte. It is located very close to I-85 and I-77. I have talked to him about our potential Dismeet. He said GREAT! Would you guys be interested in something like this? We could possibly get some special treatment since I have an inside interest . Do you think that we should plan this event for a few weekends from now so that everyone has time to plan on coming? I'm thinking Nov. 6th (Sunday). I know that we can't set a time that everyone can come but this would not conflict with some of the WDW trips already mentioned. Thanks for al of the interest! I can't wait to meet you guys!

We will go to church that Sunday. However, our Sunday school is at 8 AM and worship service is at 9:30 AM. We usually leave church by 10:45 so we can make it at lunch.
I am sorry if I sound anti-social about the game. I know that we could miss one. Seriously, we are ok if we miss it. I am going to say, though, that we would definitely enjoy it if it was on!

Oh, by the way, the Panthers will certainly be playing in the bar area. Also, I'll work on getting directions from Discovery Place and let you know what I find out.

I am bummed. I lost this thread for awhile and now see you have picked a date. We will be at our first trip to Disneyland! Please post back and let those of us unable to make it how it went and if you plan any other get togethers. I will miss meeting all of you!
