Was charged $21 by BCV for a handling fee of 50lbs of groceries delieverd by netgrocer 2 days prior to our arrival. (ordered water.....).
When I questioned the charge I was advised BC, YC, BCV has always charged for the storage/delivery of non-luggage items. I said VWL doesn't charge for this service. I likely could have had the charges reversed if I pursued it, but wasn't worth the effort and they didn't offer a credit immediately. I was just very surprised to see the charge.
They did say the don't charge for luggage that is shipped and is obviously luggage. I said "you mean I can go to the post office and ship a duffle bag without putting it in a box???", and they said "yes!" ... sounded strange.
I supposed if the box didn't say netgrocer all over it there may not have been a charge ....
Anyone else have anything like this happen or not happen?
