Characters I Saw

HugsForEeyore - Yes, Abu signs :flower:
THANKS!!! I am literally right now getting my autograph books ready for my next trip (assuming tropical system "Wilma" doesn't ruin it!!!!) and was wondering to include Abu or not! Guess he will definately get a page! He better be out at the parties by the time I get there! :) :)

It seems like a lot of rare characters can be seen on MNSSHP, but can anyone enlighten me if this is the case for MVMCP as we have tickets for this and the kids would be made up to see tarzan and jane or snow white and 7 dwarfs.

I've only been to MVMCP & MNSSHP one time each, but I did a lot of reading about both before we went. :flower:

There were a lot of characters out at MVMCP last year, but not as many "rare" ones as at MNSSHP. We also didn't make character finding the top priority at MVMCP (which we did at MNSSHP).

We were very excited to find Cinderella & Prince Chaming and Aurora & Prince Philip behind the castle at MVMCP - I also read that Snow White & her Prince also appeared there sometimes. We found Donald at his "tree farm" near IASW - many consider him harder to find. I can't remember for sure how many we found without looking up the book, but I know we found Alice, Tweedles, White Rabbit, Brer Bear, Brer Rabbit, and that was without "looking " for them. The lines were all short too. :)

We didn't see Tarzan & Jane at MVMCP, but from what I've read they weren't at last year's MNSSHP either, so you never know.

I'm personally hoping that the dwarfs do appear at MVMCP - we missed them at MNSSHP & we'll be going back for MVMCP in 2006.

Sending Pixie Dust :wizard: - I know you had planned on going during the summer & had to postpone.

While we were at MGM, Hercules & Megara had a nice little chat with us & Megara said to be sure to visit MGM on Sunday afternoons because "she knew" that Kim Possible would be making appearances then. Unfortunately we had an ADR for CRT that conflicted, but maybe you'll catch her. :flower:

Disneyfav4ever, is this what Belle's Prince looked like, in costume?

Yes, that's the same costume.

Wow, can you send me a little charector finding pixie dust? We saw about 20 charectors last trip and I thought that was amazing.

Where did you happend to see the alusive Daisy Duck?

I know what you mean, my first two trips I saw about thirty characters on those two combined. This trip I guess I really lucked out at being in the right place at the right time.

I saw Daisy on the character bus at Epcot twice.

do the parks list & distribute the times that characters can be seen in their assigned locations? is it in the park map/guide?

There are some times listed in the times guide, but there not all in there. For instance at Epcot it lists UK, Morocco, and France, which did all have characters, but it left out China and Germany, and I saw Mulan and Mushu in China and Snow White in Germany.

one more question (sorry), did you meet some of the characters when they got off of the "Disney Characters on Holiday" bus in Epcot? If so, how often does that bus make it's tour each day? We're going to Epcot in the pm & wouldn't want to miss it. Thanks.

That was one of the best places for characters, it has around half a dozen stops a day, all around, one was by spaceship earth, and another was right at the entrance to world showcase.

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale, and I think Donald were always on. I also saw Mary Poppins, Alice, Pinnochio, Timon, Rafiki, Meeko, Gideon, Max, Gepetto, Daisy, Robin Hood, Smee, and I'm sure there's some others I'm forgetting.

I find the best way to find characters is reading various character websites and checking recent character sightings on boards like the DIS! And checking common character locations repeatedly at the parks on my trips!

Disneyfav4ever - thanks for posting all your characters! Thanks to this post, I finally saw a photo of Abu! I wasn't sure if he really existed, but there he is! Cool! Wonder if he signs autographs???

Your welcome about Abu, and yes he does sign autographs. Your website was very helpful, and I used that as part of my guide. :)

Never been to MVMCP, but if it helps, I did see the dwarfs over in Toontown on a regular park day.

On our day at MGM a cast member told us that the seven dwarfs are at MK only. My husband would of loved to see grumpy. He has a personalized grumpy t- shirt that he wore to Disney, just like him, lol.

Great sightings! We were at MNSSHP on 10/16 and didn't see many characters at all. I was disappointed. We saw Aladdin and Jasmine but not the Genie and Abu by the Magic Carpets, Brer Rabbit by Splash Mountain, Tarzan and Jane and the gorilla from Tarzan, as well as Rafiki and Baloo by the Jungle Cruise and Alice and the Queen of Hearts along the trick or treating walkway between Toontown and Tomorrowland. We saw only Pooh and Tigger by the Pooh playground. We saw many more characters in 2003, especially in Toontown. This year we saw none. I think Donald was on break when we walked through because there was a line by his boat.

On regular days in MK, we saw Wendy Darling by POC but never Peter Pan. We never saw Captain Hook our entire stay, but saw Mr. Smee a few times.

We had the best luck at Epcot with the character bus. The first day, Donald and Daisy were together, and Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Max, Pluto, Chip and Dale, and Pinocchio and Gepetto were there. Two days later, Daisy was gone but Alice and Meeko were there instead. There were very short lines and on the second day, we hit the bus at the top of World Showcase and then later in the day at Japan. We also saw Snow White in Germany.

If you are interested in finding a character at a pavillion in the WOrld Showcase, just ask any CM that works there. If they don't know, they have a phone number they call to find out the times.

Wow, there were definitely some rare ones it sounds like.

Last year about 2 days into our 7-day trip my gf made it clear that she wanted to see as many characters as possible. All in all we had 37 of them, with Alice & the Mad Hatter being the only "human" ones, if that makes sense. And the only reason I know the number is I put all their pics in a scrapbook that I made for her for Christmas.

The only time I've seen Brer Rabbit was while running the WDW marathon. Stupid me, I didn't have my camera and was more worried about finishing. Come to think of it, I saw Darkwing Duck and Launchpad McQuack during the race too, so maybe I'll run the race again just for the character sightings! :rotfl:
