Characters at wedding

Could anyone give me the price of having Mickey and Minnie at the wedding and how it works etc - at what stage they come.
We are planning on sea breeze point

Disney don't allow characters at the wedding - just at the reception. They are booked in 30 minute slots, and I believe the cost for 2 characters is $1,070 for 30 minutes. You can also choose from a selection of their outfits - eg formal wear.

The final prices will be confirmed with you 6 months beforehand if you are a custom wedding. Prices do change, so you will have to ask and make sure. As to when they come in for the reception it really varies. You can choose, however, if you have alcohol they will not come out while that is being served. At least that is my understanding about the alcohol rule.

we had mickey (a surprise from my parents) he came out right before we cut the cake, through the cake cutting and then a bit after, then took lots of pictures. i think he was there for a total of 30 minutes. We weren't going to get mickey b/c we thought it was too $$$ and we wanted to use the money elsewhere, but after having him there, i suggest it to everyone, especially if you have kids at the reception.

Seriously tho' I know it's expensive, but how often do you get the chance to take so many piccies of the 'main man' (or should that be mouse!) without feeling you should move on so the next person can have their turn? Or have pics with no-one else walking into the picture! Or dressed in a beautiful outfit.........

I agree with you. Half an hour all to yourselves is just brilliant.
I couldn't have had my Disney wedding without them, it wouldnt have been right. My guests loved them, and they were well worth the $$$.

I totally agree. No one knew they were coming except me. When the violinist started to play the Mickey Mouse March and they walked in my DH looked at me and said "Do I even want to know?" He, of course, meant, how much did they cost? Silly man!! He still has no idea, but he agrees that it was well worth it to have them there. Of our 13 total people, 7 of them were kids from 4 - 16. Everyone had a blast with Mickey and Minnie and my 7 year old actually got a piggy back ride from Mickey Mouse! How cool is that!!!!

We had an intimate vow renewal. When we first got to Commander's Terrace, we immediately did the champagne toast. After the champagne bottles were cleared away, then Mickey and Minnie arrived. As stated above, our EM said they could not arrive until after the alcohol was taken away. Once they arrived, we did the cake cutting, then they danced with each of us, as "our song" started, they moved us together for our first dance. As we did the father/daughter dance and then mother/son dance, they danced with some of our other guests and played with the kids.

It was wonderful to have them there! As someone else said, how often do you have the chance to have Mickey and Minnie at your reception!

I am interested in knowing that as well... on the info sheets I was sent for our planning session, it has options besides Mickey and Minnie, but only a few. Does anyone know if it's all limited to what you see on the paper or are other characters available? ie - Tigger and Eeyore?

I know you can get Alice and the mad hatter! There are some examples on wishbook! Lumiere is also available!

I've been told that Pooh and friends are not allowed - think it's something to do with them not being 'official' Disney characters, just 'borrowed'. I would have loved Tigger and Eeyore, but are having Mickey and Minnie instead.

i'm wondering what characters you can have besides Mickey and Minnie? i'd love to have Stitch because Lilo and Stitch was the first movie my fiance and i saw together lol

I'm pretty sure that someone on here did have Stitch at their wedding. I think someone had Figment as well, but not positive.

I think you can have Stitch. I am certain also I read that someone had Lilo & Stitch.
You can have Cinderella & Prince Charming too.
The only characters that you cannot have are Winnie the Pooh characters as Dee Slack mentions above.
I wanted EEyore but my EM said no, because they are not 'owned' by Disney.
Such a shame. My Daughter is a huge Eeyore fan, and was most upset.
