Characters at Univeral Studios/Islands of Adventure

Hello. We will be visiting Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure for the first time in December 2010. Can anyone tell me if there are characters in the parks for my children to meet? I did a search on this forum and have not found the answer. I have young boys and they love superheroes---are there any around and if so where can we find them? Any information about character meetings (superheroes or other characters) would be most appreciated!

If your boys like superheroes, you're in luck. During certain times several superheroes come out on four wheelers, race around a bit and then go to designated spots for autographs. As I recall, this includes Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Rogue and Captain America. Spiderman will also come out but he does his meet and greet just inside the doorway of a shop.

DS was older the first time we went but I could tell that he was a little starstruck by Spiderman when he saw him.

There's a character meet & greet time/place on the park map. Make sure to grab a map when you get there.

My 3 years old (almost 4) is crazy about Spiderman and Wolverine! That will be great if we could meet them!

What about US, Is it possible to meet some characters too? (Shrek, Simpsons?)

Yes there are meet and greets for many characters at Universal. Check the above links for complete lists.
