Characters at CRT

I have heard Cindy is only there at the beginning for photos but not during the meal. Is this true? I would hate to spend that kind of money if she isn't going to be there.

Yes, she is there for photos as you go into the castle, but does not circulate during the meal. We were there 2 weeks ago and still enjoyed the experience very much with Snow White, Belle, Jasmine and Fairy Godmother in the dining room. Of course, DD5's favorite, Sleeping Beauty, was not there, so I know the feeling of shelling out over $100 and not seeing everyone you expect. But it was so wonderful anyway! You do get a photo package with Cinderella included in the price of your meal--a 6x8 matted along with (4) 4x6 prints along with a 6x8 of the castle all in a pretty souvenir folder. If there are 5 or more in your party, you get 2 photo packages. So that did help ease the pain on the wallet a little .

Cinderella is at the dinner at 1900 Park Fare with Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother and the mice, Suzy and Perla. The pictures I think are with Fairy Godmother there (someone correct me if I'm wrong.) I've heard good things about that character meal and it is so special to ride the boat over to the Grand Floridian because it's such a beautiful hotel. Either way, I think would be a magical meal!

We did all three events last fall-- CRT Breakfast, 1900 Park Fare Dinner / Cinderella's Gala Feast, and Akershus.

Best princess interaction was at Park Fare-- Cinderella spent a good amount of time with us, and actually sat down on the floor to talk to DD (3 at the time.) Our niece was asleep and Cinderella posed with her in such as way that it looked like she was holding her. Now-- I am sure that it could be different if park fare was crowded, I'd say 1/3 of the seats were empty when we weere there. Prince Charming was also GREAT-- dancing around with the girls, etc.

Akershus was just so-so. We were there for dinner and not crazy about the food or the entire experience (LONG wait, slow/ uneven service.) I could see where that one *could* be great, but that was not our experience. DD doesn't even remember it.

The castle for breakfast was awesome, but more for general ambience than the interaction. We did see Snow White, Aurora, Mary Poppins (?!), and Fairy Godmother in addition to the pictures with Cinderella. (No real interaction, just pictures and signing books.) The photo package was GREAT-- the photo was lovely.

So, hey-- go for both the castle and Park Fare-- they are both great and pretty different. We are doing them both again in... 12 days!

We did CRT lunch last week and only got to talk to Cinderella during the picture. During lunch we had Jasmine, Belle, Snow White, and Alice in Wonderland. I must say the Belle we had was AWESOME!!! She really acted like she was interested in what the kids were saying, and actually spent all her time down on their level- literally.

We met Cinderella at Toontown and it was the same Cinderella at CRT (for lunch) -- she remembered our two girls! I could tell from her words and actions that she remembered... how cute was that!

We loved the whole experience at CRT - the photos at the beginning were our least favorite part, but sitting and enjoying the stained glass windows, the 'wishing' ceremony, the character interaction.

As for 1900PF, we've been there twice and it still feels like a hotel ballroom. Our first year, we waited and didn't meet Cindy until the *very* end and we had actually finished dessert. The 2nd year, she someone skipped our table and we had to get the CM to chase her down to come to our table. It was a bit disappointing.

We like to do CRT for a late lunch and then do the afternoon parade... it makes a nice respite from the heat, crowds, etc. It almost feels like a hiding place
