Just got back today from a quick little 4 day trip to Disney. It rained here and there all 4 days, but we were ok as we were going commando style w/ ponchos.....we had a good time. BUT we hardly saw any characters out. Do they just stay hidden during wetter times. Yeah, I can see how a soaked Cinderella or Tigger might be unappealing, and yeah, I saw several under covered areas but all in all ......we had trouble finding any. If it hadn't been for the few character meals we did, our autograph book would be a little sparse. in 4 days we only got around 28 autographs which is pretty low for us. Do any of you know what their 'rain' procedure is?

When we are there if on drop comes down the charectors have ran and hidden for cover. During one rainstorm last year even ariel disappeared from her grotto.

If the characters have one, they will be put under a rain shelter. But not all characters have one to go to so they will just not come out at all. If the weather is severe they will not go out either. It stinks but is is for the safety of the characters and also the Guests. I am sorry they weren't out as much for you. Stupid rainy weather.

Rain is terrible for character hunting. On rainy days, I don't put much effort into finding anyone! It seems like extreme heat is not great either, as the characters do less meets then, too. It makes sense that some of the best character times I ever had were in January, when it is cool and usually dry. :)
