Yes, Pinnchio was there...I think he is pretty standard these days. Tiana, Mulan, Genie, Aladdin, Jasmine, Queen of Hearts, Smee and Hook were there as well.

Went there this Tuesday, the characters that were present were :

Stitch

Rafiki (hardly anyone wanted to see him (poor Rafiki)

Evil Queen

Genie

Pocahontas


If you've never done one, it's higly reccommended!

My DD would love to meet Mulan or Pocahontas. We'll be looking for Characterpalooza for certain. ❤

My first Characterpalooza, both were out! Along with Jasmine, Genie and Donald. It was a nice surprise as I had seen them both in Epcot and AK respectively but still dropped by for a chat.

There are no PP photographers but there are usually handlers who would be happy to take a picture for you

The day we saw it it was supposed to occur around 5:45. BTW, since I don't think I've seen it mentioned, it's currently inside the gate by the TOT exit, not Animation building or streets of america. Cast member peeked outside a side door right around 5:45 on the dot, but I don't think they actually opened the gates until about 5:50. I would not chance getting there late though, as they close the gate again once everyone who was waiting is inside. I love that they do it this way, as it means that the meet doesn't end up getting swamped by people who just happened to notice the mass of characters. We got to meet pretty much all of them. However, DH got shut out, as he was too late in coming back from riding RnRC - snooze you lose!

I've always seen people have positive comments, but I pictured a bunch of characters coming out all at once, my head on a swivel trying to see everyone, and them disappearing just as fast. Animation building has its own set of characters. Palooza is Fantasmic characters who do meets before the show that night.

Ok thanks! I thought my kids were past the huge 'meet the characters' stage but my 15 year old suddenly wants to meet EVERYONE, lol!

On Monday, we met Minnie with only a 5 minute wait. Most people forget she is in the Animation building which is sad because her dressing room is very cute! Have fun!

I had trouble picturing it too! The characters actually stood at intervals in a line down either side of the path. They each had their own handler and an informal line. You're welcome!

Was there a week ago today. It was barely spitting rain, and it was a no go. I was so sad as it was the thing I wanted to do most on this trip, and we don't make frequent trips to Disney World.

The characters can't get wet because those are the costumes that will be worn for Fantasmic. They do walk quite a ways - from the Fantasmic dressing rooms > the Palooza site. It's better for them to cancel due to iffy weather conditions especially because it is an unscheduled event.

I was there last Sunday, 4/19, and it got rained out, too. The rain hadn't started, but there were thunderstorms in the area and it did end up raining some. Luckily I was able to go again on Thursday, 4/23, to the 4:10 session, and it was awesome. A very small number of guests, everyone had time to pose with all the characters. (There was a big crowd gathered on rain-out Sunday.) We had Aladdin & Genie (together), Mulan, Tiana, Snow White, the Wicked Queen from SW (she and Snow met separately), Minnie and Pluto. I got pics with all of them. Didn't get my "Holy Grail" characters, Bert or Robin Hood, but still had a blast. I've wanted to meet Mulan forever and never could time it right at Epcot, and Genie's a fave from way back. And Tiana is now officially my favorite meet & greet Princess - met her at MK 2 years ago (different "friend"), and both times she has been so friendly and chatty, just great.

Just want to second that Tiana has always been a fantastic meet for us. She is always so much fun and so sweet to my daughter. She has always been funny and friendly. My daughter loves The Princess and the Frog, so it's extra special to meet a favorite character that really carries out the charm conveyed in the film.
