Character Size?

We will be attending a number of Character meals for our upcoming WDW trip. This is the first trip for our youngest DD, she will be 15mos, Can anyone give me some tips on how to get her familiar with the size of the Characters, so she won't be shocked?
I am hoping that she will handle it alright once she sees her older sister(6yrs) interacting with the characters. Any extra steps I can take to make it a bit easier on her would be greatly appreciated.

We took our DD to a character meal, and although she is familiar with the movies and characters she was still very afraid of the characters in person. Seeing DH and I interact helped, and letting the character know she was a bit nervous they were very sweet with her. After 3 days she was chasing Goofy around the restaurant to get another hug.

Before your first character meal, look for the characters in the parks or at the Character Caravan if you are staying at a Disney resort.

Try watching the Sing-Along videos. Beach Party at WDW and Campout at WDW are two that feature the characters and show them interacting with kids. There is also one from Disneyland. You use to be able to find them on Ebay if you can't find them in a store.
