Hi!
I was wondering if you can still drop things off at the desk on the cruises to be signed? I have a scrapbook page that i wanted signed by mickey & friends.. we don't know which cruise ship we're going on, it will be in the upcoming fall. If they still do it how can i make it more likely to get it done?
thank you notes? candy?
any help would be awesome =)

Yes. I just got off the Magic on Saturday and had this done. We had the characters sign a photo matte. I included a bag of candy for the characters and another bag for Guest Services. Put everything into a giant ziplock bag along with Sharpies. I also included a piece of cardboard that would prevent the matte from being bent.

My matte was signed by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy, Chip, and Dale. It was awesome!

I got a pillowcase signed on my cruise in March. I put the pillowcase in a ziploc bag with some permanent markers and some m&ms.

Here's a picture I just took:

I selected for the "All Stars" to sign it and got Pluto, Mickey, Minnie, Lilo, Stitch, Donald, Daisy, Chip, Dale & Goofy. I got Pooh and Eeyore's signatures after my cruise in WDW.

Can you please explain "I selected for the All Stars" to sign it? You CHOOSE which signatures you want?

Confused.

Is this just for the children in your group?

Silly question, but, do they return your sharpies with the signed items?

Thought I would answer some of these questions based on my past experience.

Yes, there is a sheet that you fill out at guest services and you can specify who you want to sign. Fab5, princess, all-stars, or who ever you want.

I am wondering if you can just ask for a specific signature also?? :confused3

Yes, I was told you can get just one if you wanted it.

No (or maybe yes). This isn't just for children (but you do have to be a child at heart to get this done). You can do pillow cases, photo frames, t-shirts, scrap books, autograph books, etc.

Yes, mine were returned with everything except the M&Ms that I put in with them. I used fabric markers for our pillowcases, not sharpies. I have seen it done both ways. Next time, I will probably add an extra bag of M&Ms for the CMs at guest services. I was told that they like treats too.

Next time I'm bringing fabric markers instead of the Sharpies. The signatures have fafed a bit after a couple of washings.
Thanks for the tip about giving the CMs candy, that is what we'll do next time.

No, there do not have to be children in your group. DH and I went in March and we each had a pillowcase signed. We wanted everyone on board, so that's what we put on our note. We put candy in our bag with the colored sharpies too (and yes we got our sharpies back too). It's really neat!

Like previous poster said, you don't have to be a kid, just a kid at heart!!

I also asked if I could get all the characters to sign it, but the lady at guest services told me no. :confused3

Also, she asked who they were for and when I told her they were for two girls, she automatically checked the box for the princesses to sign it. I told her I didn't want the princesses to sign it, but she kept insisting that I did. It took a couple of minutes, but I finally got her to change it to All Stars.

I don't know why the lady I spoke to at guest services was so pushy, but at least the pillow cases turned out great! :thumbsup2

I had 2 pillowcases signed this past April and requested all characters sign it. We had them embroidered with a Mickey Head and the characters signed all around it. So cute - the best souvy ever!! :goodvibes

Can you put more than one frame in a bag?

I put two pillowcases in a bag, so I don't see why you can't put more than one frame in a bag. When you turn your frames into guest services they'll fill out a small slip of paper and they'll note how many you have in the bag.

Here's another big tip! When you get what you got signed, back on Friday in your room, take it to the Farewell party on Friday night. ALL the characters are there, plus all the actors/actresses from all the shows. You can get even more signatures at this party! Thats what I did with my photo matte, and LOVE this souvenir every time we walk in our front door.:) (signatures like Peter Pan, and Marie etc. It was great)
