I am preparing for our first trip to DLR with kids next week. I am trying to get an autograph book ready and have downloaded one of the ones that I saw on another thread. There are 283 characters!

It looks like every single character that has ever been in a Disney story has a page. I was wondering if those characters all actually make appearances.

So my questions:
1. What characters are at the Princess lunch at Ariel's Grotto? I want to make sure I have a page for every single one of those as that will be my daughter's favorite.
2. What characters will we see at Disneyland and California Adventure throughout the park?
3. Are the characters just wandering around or do they camp out in specific places? If they are in certain places, where?
4. Does the Playhouse Disney show have characters wandering around the area?

Thanks!

We were at DCA last Saturday and I saw Handy Manny outside of the bathrooms that are right next to the Playhouse Disney building.

Lightning McQueen & Mater do a Meet & Greet right across from Taste Pilots Grill & Soaring. There was hardly a line when we took a pic with them.....no autograph though.......they don't have hands! :rotfl:

We saw Minnie & Mickey & Stitch at DCA as well in the Sunshine Plaza area. I think periodically characters come through there.

As far as DL, we saw:
Capt. Hood & Peter Pan walking (they didn't stop),
Goofy by Main St,
Mad Hatter & Queen of Hearts over near the castle,
Brer Fox hanging around the Splash Mtn. area,
Tigger, Eeyore, & Pooh in their M & G area in Critter Country

I think that was it??

I posted this list in another thread, so you may have already seen it, but these are the characters we saw on our trip about 2 weeks ago. This was on a Sunday and Monday:

Frontierland
Woody
Jessie*

Critter Country
Pooh*
Tigger*
Eeyore*

Tomorrowland
Buzz Lightyear*

Main Street/Mickey Floral (after you enter the turnstiles)
Donald
Goofy*
Pluto*
Chip
Dale
Alice
Mad Hatter
Captain Hook
Belle
Cinderella
Sleeping Beauty (Princess Aurora)
Snow White
Mary Poppins
Bert
Mickey*
Minnie*
Pinocchio

A lot of these characters we saw at the entrance by the Mickey floral.

On other trips we have seen:

Jasmine
Stitch
Characters from the Incredibles
Frozone
Mulan
Sully
Characters from Splash Mountain

The ones that I marked with an asterik are the characters we have seen on almost every trip.

Ariel's Grotto varies and depends on what princess is available. We saw Mulan, Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora/Sleeping Beauty and of course the first page goes to the lovely hostess Ariel who is the first person you meet and greet.

They announce the princesses so you will have ample time to primp, preen, get cameras ready and have your autograph book and pen handy. They go from table to table and do spend a minute or even way more at each table. Very nice ladies indeed and well mannered. I have eaten in March there twice and love the food which is a tiered plate tray full of snacks like jello, olives, cheese, salad, veggies and once there was cold cuts. Then comes the meal and when you are all full they bring out a ceramic dish full of little cakes and desserts. They do special orders like no-salt, diabetic, vegan, and Gluten Free. I had a great time there.
