Character question

Do the characters at the "character dinner's" talk and sound like the actual characters would?

Sorry it has been almost 30 years since I have been at Disney....

Full-costumed characters (Mickey, Goofy, Pooh, etc.) won't talk at all. They'll nod and use gestures to communicate. Face characters (princesses & princes) do talk and they are "proper."

Thanks that's what I though. I wasn't sure how far they have come technically....
