Character Question- Is Patrick from Spongebob there?

We head to Universal in 3 weeks. My DS (5) is a huge Spongebob fan. I have heard that Spongebob is there but is Patrick or any other Spongebob characters?

Also, I have read that Alex and the penguins from Madagascar are at Universal. Another other characters?

Also, are the above characters able to sign autographs?

I have never seen any of the characters other than Spongebob - he can be found at the exit to the Jimmy Neutron ride.

Alex and the penguins where there last year, although we didn't see them.

Loads of other characters - at Universal you have Dora, Rugrats, Shrek and Donkey, Crash Bandicoot - sure there are others but can't think off the top of my head.

At IOA you have Scooby Doo, Shaggy, Betty Boop, Popeye, Olive Oyl, Bluto, Spiderman, Cat in the Hat, the Grinch, Thing 1 and Thing 2, Green Eggs Guy and loads of others

The Madagascar characters (only Alex and the Penguins) come out in front of Woody Woodpecker KidZone at the specified timed listed in the US map.
If you want to see them, line up along the cement wall there. There is even a chalked out mark (really, like kid chalk) where to start the line to meet them. They are really popular and don't stay out all that long from what we saw. The are adorable!
