My DD is an autograph fanatic. I have compiled quite a large list of Characters and locations. I was wondering if anyone has any "secrets" or chance meetings the would share with me.

I would be happy to share my information if anyone is interested.
Thanks for any help.

i know when we went in sept '05 we went to see the princess in the main meet and greet area, dd was dressed like jasmine, and cinderella told us where we could find her, it was righ outside by the train station in the toon area... there was jasmine, mary popins, and cruela devil. the train came right when abby was meeting mary popins and they had to move back away from the train area, we have a recording of dd taking a walk hand in hand with mary popins, SO SO cute! It is a truly the greatest clip we have our any of our trips!!!

This will be DS2's first trip, so we've never looked for character meet and greets before. His main interest are the classic character-Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Tigger, Pooh, Piglet and now Cinderella  (seems he's developed a bit of a crush on her). I'd love to see the list if you're willing to share it.

If your son is interested in Winnie The Pooh you might want to consider booking a character breakfast at The Crystal Palace. It is a buffet and I have heard good things about it. All of the Pooh Characters are there.

As for Donald and Others I would suggest the toon town area. I believe that each character hangs out around their house.

It is my first time looking for Characters to so these are just a things that I plan to do in June. Hope they work for both of us.

I agree the best interaction with Characters is during character meals. I also have always found that many people don't seem to realize that there are characters in the world Showcase in EPCOT (Belle and the Beast in Paris and Jasmin and Aladin in Morocco!!). I also find it is worth the wait at the gift shop in Toontown for autographs. You line up in 3 different lines - Pooh and friends...Princesses and Mickey and friends and you go into a room where there are usually at least 3 characters to meet.

Last year we took white T Shirts and fabric pens for the kids to get signatures. The characters will not sign the T Shirt on them - they have to not be wearing them and you have to fold them so that the spot you want signed is in front of them. But it was a great keepsake!!

Thanks for the link .Had fun looking at all the characters. What about the Blue Power Ranger??

Also, I can't remember the exact number, but any cast member can call a specific number and ask when and where a character will be. If you're looking for one particular character, this is a great way to do it.

Good luck. My little one is two, and my "goal" is to get her picture taken with every character. I have no idea how we'll find Jimmeny Cricket, but gosh darnit, we're looking for him.

We found him in Animal Kingdom at Rafiki's Planet Watch. We were told in January that they're trying to bring him out more often.

On the streets of MGM your sure to find all the power rangers at some point! We seen the white and blue and green and red 2 yrs ago when we were there and later we seen the pink and yellow.Their car drives around MGM !

Thanks for the tips!

Also in Epcot in the world showcase we have seen alot of the characters you are looking for they ride around on a big bus and stop for autographs and dance often! We have foun Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and his son, pinnochio, tigger, pooh, chip, dale and few others I can't seem to remember right now!

We love meeting the characters too! Here are some great things we have learned.

1. Make a customized autograph book -- the characters give your kids lots of attention and love to look at the book -- they really ham it up and point out their picture to everyone. Minnie Mouse sat down on the floor and looked at every page of DD's book, and signed it very sweetly -- dd has been in love with her ever since.

2. wdwautographs.com is a great sight for autograph info

3. there is a meet and greet at Epcot-- we met Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip n Dale, & Pluto there Sept 06.

4. In Epcot, at the back of the toy store in England you can sometimes meet either Tigger, Pooh, Piglet -- often no crowd, especially if there is street entertainment

5. The characters really interact with you if you are "wearing" them - ie: hat, pin, t-shirt

6. In France, in the outside area on the on the other side from the shops, by the bridge (sorry I am explaining this badly) I have seen Belle, Beast and Aurora with hardly any lines because it is a tucked away spot.

7. If you are lucky enough to go during the Magical Beginnings at MK in Fantasyland, DO get there that extra hour early. It is wonderful -- there are characters everywhere, playing with children, going on rides, playing with eachother (Peter Pan and Captain Hook playing hide and seek, Alice and the Mad Hatter skipping about, Daisy and Minnie playing ball with kids, Mickey playing follow the leader). They don't do autographs , but play and interact. It was the best character interaction ever.

This is a great thread.

I have no idea how we'll find Jimmeny Cricket, but gosh darnit, we're looking for him.

I found him at Tokyo DisneySea! My friends (we're all in our 20s) thought I was just a little crazy when I saw him, yelled "wow, he's RARE!", and took off across the square :) .

So if you're planning a trip to Japan anytime soon, you might find him there ;)

I would love to know how to find Dopey, or any dwarf, for that matter. 11 days in 12/05 and Dopey never once was out with Snow White in Germany. We called a special line that the CMs had, everyday, and asked if he would be coming out that day. She did, but he didn't.
