Character meals

Nobody has mentioned Minnie & Friends. Any feedback for that character breakfast. We had planned on doing a Minnie breakfast the same morning we have EE, since the Plaza Inn is so close to Fantasyland we wouldn't have to go so far and Goofy's Kitchen for dinner.

Minnie and Friends is wonderful! Its my families #1 choice. We didn't have a great experience at Goofys. We couldnt get into Ariels (waited too long to book). The Lilo and Stitch breakfast is too far to get to in the morning. :lmao:

We went to Minnies in March. We had awsome interaction with the following characters: Minnie, Chip and Dale, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Hook and the fairy godmother. They did so much more then just pose for pictures. They played with the kids. They played with the kids toys. They posed for pictures. The fairy godmother held my kids on her lap. The food was good and fresh. I like that they serve the buffet, rather then "help yourself". I have issues with kids touching buffet food. And best of all, you dont have to waste time leaving the park! We spent about 1 hour for our meal. So, it didnt take that much longer then getting walk up service. When we did Goofys last fall it took so long to get over to the hotel and back, it wasted about an extra hour.

I highly recomend getting a PS about 10 am on an early entry day. Eat a light breakfast and hit the park. Ride all the rides for 2-3 hours, then have a nice big breakfast as the park is filling up. Light snack at lunch time, and a nice size dinner.

hlbtimes2, thanks for your input on Minnie's. I had read good things about it on other sites, but nobody was mentioning it this time. Your suggestion about doing the rides first, then breakfast was exactly our plan. Since the park doesn't open until 10:00 in September, with our EE and a 10:30 PS, that will give us (our grandson) an hour and a half in fanasyland before breakfast.

Papa LR I just did ...read above 2 posts from your original

We just got back from an 8-night trip to DL and did every character meal. For the money we paid, we were a bit disappointed with both the Lilo & Stitch (Lilo never even showed up the hour we were there from 7-8 am) and Storyteller's Cafe breakfasts. Dinner at Goofy's Kitchen was tasty and lots of fun. Our DS had a blast banging on the pots with the rest of the kids and doing the Macarena, too. Minnie & Friends had tons of character interaction, both between themselves (Captain Hook vs. Peter Pan/Tigger/Pooh) and with our son. The food left a little to be desired, though.

The best character interaction for our DS was at Ariel's Grotto, though. He left with four of the five princesses kissing him, leaving lipstick all over both cheeks and his forehead!

Sorry Lynn - I completely missed the "Plaza Inn" reference - putting Minnie and the Plaza together. Old Age! Glad to hear such a good recommendation. I'm sure the food will be okay, but it's more about the character interaction for the grandkids - that's what it's all about!

I agree with another poster, who said you can have one person who had a bad experience and somebody else was there and loved it. For example we had a less than stellar experience at Minnie's last Monday. Very crowded, very disorganized. Just total chaos, even the cm manager told somebody Ariels was better run as he apologized for the disorganization. When that place gets crowded, it gets crazy! My brother (who was with us) went in January, very off season and they loved it and had a totally different experience. The nice thing about Minnie's is that it is inside the park (same with Ariel's) so you can make a mid to late morning seating, get there early, ride rides, then have breakfast. We have been to Goofy's over ten times and had great character interraction and food each time (breakfast and dinner). I say choose the one that has characters you enjoy. Lilo and Stich was great for us but we love Lilo and Stitch. Storytellers was the most low key character meal I have ever been to which is nice but my nieces hadn't seen Brother Bear or Pocahantas so didn't recognize any of the characters but Dale (Chip was a no show). Goofy's and Minnie's have the widest varieties of characters. Ariel's is nice because its not a buffet which means you don't have to stress you'll miss out on a character while you get your food. But unless you have princess lovers, its not a good choice. There are pros and cons to each but I've had fun at them all (have done them all too) and never left hungry!

We ate at Goofy's Kitchen for Breakfast. Actually is was a late breakfast early lunch. It was a buffet. We had so much fun and lots of photo opps! - The entertainment was fun too. We even took video. The staff was really great and cut the table covers where the characters sign too. Lots of interation. The thing that was cool was when we were leaving, Aladdin, Pluto, and Goofy all three together posed with my family. We now have it hung up in our Family Room for everyone to see

I didnt really like Ariel's that much...the cheesy onion soup was good and salad too but I got the meatloaf :crazy2: nassssssssssty....I just wanted to go to at least see it...and if it werent for my god daughter being into the princesses so much I wouldnt go back lol...oh and I noticed that they arent including dessert in the price anymore...we just went in March and they had it... :confused3
