Character Meals without kids?

My DF and I will be in The World for our Honeymoon in October and we're wondering if we should make reservations for a breakfast character meal?

Would we enjoy it as adults or would we feel out of place among all the families?

We're not big 'character' people, but I thought this might be neat.

We're staying at the Poly, so we would make reservations at Ohanas.

Any help or or alternate suggestions welcome!

You will not feel out of place. Plenty of adult-only parties go to character meals. We did on our honeymoon as well as on a previous adults-only trip. You will have a great time!

You will not be the only kid-less table at a character brkfst - plenty of adult couples enjoy character meals. We did lots of character meals on our honeymoon & on our other trip before our son was born. BTW Ohana brkfst is one of our favorites: we enjoy the polynesian theming, good food served family style & the character interaction is very good (Pluto & Stitch are hilarious!). And congrats on your upcoming wedding - have a great honeymoon in WDW!

My husband and I used to go to character meals before we had a son. Now, we go with my son but when we go we see alot of adults w/o kids and they have fun. Enjoy and have a magical honeymoon.

We get to make our ADRs tomorrow and this was sort of a last minute "Should we, or shouldn't we!"

Now I'm excited!!

DH and I went to the Crystal Palace breakfast on our honeymoon and had a great time. We didn't feel out of place at all, when Pooh saw our just amrried buttons he pointed and started clapping and gestured that we should have someone take a picture of the three of us. Also the food was very tasty!

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Disney World. We had breakfast at Chef Mickeys one morning and had a blast. The great thing about Disney is your never too old to be a kid! It was definately one of the highlights of our honeymoon considering I had never dined with characters before! Go for it and have a great time!

My mom and I have always had a wonderful time with the character dinings and have nver felt out of place! Go and have a wonderful time!

We went many times b.c. (b4 children) not because they had characters but because they tend to offer the AYCE buffet or AYCE family style meals. We didn't have cameras or autograph books and the characters would come by shake hands and move on. Bellying up and not eating again for several hours is great, but much harder for children. I guess that's the Disney genious to not separate the AYCE and character experience. Just another way to separate you from your money.

We just honeymooned at Disney last month.

We did:
Chef Mickey's Dinner
Crystal Palace Dinner
1900 Park Fare Dinner

We had a blast at 1900 Park Fare. We really liked Crystal Palace. And Chef Mickey's was okay. Mickey patted DH on the back and then walked away. We joke that he dissed us.

We'll definitely continue to go to character meals.

DH and I have done many character meals. We've never felt out of place. The characters will still come to your table, pose for pictures - same as the tables with kids. This year is the first year that we're NOT doing any character meals! Enjoy your honeymoon!

DH and I go to character breakfasts all the time, its fun for adults too!

I go with or with out my kids. My boys r 25 to 16 and they still love going.
I don't think this is an age thing. Your in Disney where everybody is a kid. And it's all good fun. Congrats to you both.

First of all, congrats on your honeymoon! We're going for our honeymoon in October also!!

The two of us went to the Crystal Palace a few years ago for my birthday and we didn't feel out of place at all. The characters came by our table and interacted with us, even bringing me a birthday card signed by Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet and Pooh! However, I will say that they definitely spend more time with tables with kids.

My Dsis just got back from her honeymoon at WDW. They went to Chef Mickey's for breakfast and Goofy got down on one knee! He had seen their Just Married buttons and was playing along.

Me and DH have been to many charcter meals and loved them all, they have never ignored us and we never felt out of place. The only one where the characters did not come to us was CRT dinner and we would not go back there - food and service were horrible!

DH and I just returned from WDW in June. We did Chef Mickey for breakfast and had a blast. I am in my 50's so am not even close to being a child. We have also done character meals with our kids (18-25) and didn't feel out of place. They didn't feel out of place either. I felt the characters spent as much time with us as they did with families. Go and have fun.
