I arrive Sunday in Walt Disney world!! Solo trip for me!

I want to do a character meal Sunday evening. Solo dining, any suggestions for getting good pictures with the characters?

Right now I have reservations for Garden Grill with Mickey, Pluto, and Chip & Dale. Worth it? Good buffet food? Is there something better?

Also, other great character meal (all you can eat) that's better about solo dining than others??? Any that really stood out to you? I LOVE the originals (Mickey, Goofy, ect but see that Chef Mickey's didn't get the best reviews and it's more expensive than other character buffets.) I have plans for the Tuskar House already. Any character dining experiences that stand out to you? Not a big princess fan!

Garden grill is awesome but it's not a buffet. They bring the food to you "family style". You can have as much food as you want but you get to sit and they bring it to you. The food is great though. Garden grill is on of my favorites and we eat there every time.

Thanks!!! Does it include dessert?

How is 1900 Park Fare for breakfast if you've been there? Characters fun?

We were there way back in 2010 and enjoyed it; Mad Hatter and Alice were great. I don't remember having any complaints about the food but it was almost 6 years ago! I'm sure someone will come along with more recent reviews.

I've read a few solo dining reports on Tusker House so hopefully you'll have a great experience there :thumbsup2

Minnie's Dine at Hollywood and Vine seems to be getting really great reviews as far as character interaction but mixed reviews for food. Maybe look into that? I know it's a buffet.

I love 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. The had hatter is hilarious and they spend a good amount of time with you. I also love the dinner there. The step sisters and step mother are great. The food is good.

I think that GG is fun and we enjoy it. The food is brought to you and I find the atmosphere pretty relaxing. Well as relaxing as a character meal can be! LOL!!

1900 PF is a blast as well, with great character interactions for both breakfast and diner.

I have never dined at Cape May breakfast, but I hear it is really a great character interaction.

Cape May breakfast was good. It was a buffet with lots to choose.

We ate at 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

Another solo traveler here.

Cape May is probably my favorite breakfast. I have always had amazing character interaction there!

I have also had good experiences at 'Ohana breakfast. Just be aware that you have to search for 2 as their system (not sure why their system is different from every other place, but it is) won't ever find anything for 1.

Many years ago I did 1900 breakfast, and other than Tigger (who played peek-a-boo with me around the door frame and was super attentive (huh...this is standard operating procedure for Tigger with me...) during the actual table visit) the character interaction I felt was just so-so. Alice in particular seemed a bit lost as to how to interact with a solo adult with no kids - as did Mary Poppins and Bert in the lobby. So that one is not real high on my list - more of an "ok...I guess since nothing else has availability..." kind of place for me.
