Character meal @ Tusker House (AK)..good/bad?

Anyone been to a character meal at Tusker house in AK? Was it good?

We did this breakfast a couple of weeks ago with my DD4. The food was really good. If you like Boma or Jiko you will really like it. Even the breakfast food had a bit of African flare. They did also have standard breakfast food. The character interaction was good too. They did not seem as rushes as at other places.

The only bad thing I can say is that it is LOUD. The noise bounces off all the cement walls and tile floor. They really need to put some fabric around to absorb the noise. It became almost unbearable when the drummers were playing next to the window outside and inside was a character parade with the kids playing shaking instruments. My four year old complained about the noise. I teach elementary school and it was louder than a gym full of kids at a pep rally.

I would do it again but for sure ask to be seated in the small side rooms where the noise was less.

Loved this breakfast! Food was very good, lots of choices and some with an african slant. Loved that they were carving fresh ham. Also loved the orange bread, was more like a cake. Characters we saw were Daisy, Donald, Pluto and Goofy and interaction seemed quite good. Every 30 miuntes or so the characters would stop to let the kids have shakers and dance with them. Very nice touch for my kids to be able to dance and play with Mickey. Servers were well trained and helpful. they have a big space at Tusker House so you never felt crowded at the buffets and stations.

This is definately a step up from the prevous Donalds breakfast and I would happily do this again. Dare i say I think it may surpass Crystal Palace for quality and choice of fresh food.

I am really glad to hear this because we are going there this summer. My son absolutely loves Donald Duck and as a surprise on his birthday we are taking him there. He will be so happy!! I can not wait!!

Loved this breakfast, we went twice the two weeks we were there. Grandkids loved it 2,3 & 6. Although I have to say their grandfather loved it more which is why we went twice

I am SO excited to here good things about this. We have ADRs for 1/21 and we can't wait! We did Crystal Palace breakfast a few years back and thought the food was fantastic, so it is wonderful to hear that this is as good or better!

I am also glad to hear positive reviews, my family and I have ressies in July and we are excited to finally see Daisy!!! And it is a huge plus to know the food is good as well!!!
