Can you have too much of dining with the characters?

We arrive in three weeks time and have booked half board plus, we are there Sat - Tue so will have 3 days vouchers. I would like to eat at The Steakhouse Brunch on the Sunday and also would like to do Cafe Mickey for dinner on our last night, along with a birthday cake for DD (her birthday is 2 days after we come back) but I can't decided when we should use our other vouchers - for a meal somewhere on our first night (we will be there from about 3pm) or use them for The Lucky Nugget at lunchtime on our last day (we have a full day in park before going home). So that would give us three character meals and I am beginning to think that would be too much!

I am just sooooooo indecisive - help me please and plan what I should do!:)

i think it depends on your family. if you would enjoy eating with the characters then why not its not like you could do it at home!! we only ate in cafe mickey but we wouldnt have minded another character meal. i would only do the three if they were places you would want to eat even without the characters kwim

I really think it is up to the individual family and you really do what best suits your family. We go in December for 8 nights for our first trip to DLRP and we will not be doing another Disney holiday for a while (possibly years) due to the drop in the Aussie dollar to the US$ and Euro, it will be just so expensive to travel to the US and even more expensive to travel to Europe.

So we are packing a lifetime of character meals into 8 nights. We will be having at least one character dining experience each day of our trip :woohoo: (yes, possibly a character dining overload but I don't care :rolleyes1 )

We are doing character meals at...... Cafe Mickeys (twice), Brunch at Steakhouse, Tea Party at Pizza Planet, Birthday Tea Party at Lucky Nugget, Lunch at Lucky Nugget and Dinner at Inventions as well as Mickey's Magical Christmas Dinner (I think that's it for character dining) and apparantly there is a character at breakfast each morning at Hotel New York Empire State Club. :cool1:

:worship: to character meals :lmao:

As it is your holiday, nobody else experiences your holiday aside from your family, so I say character dine to your hearts content. :goodvibes

The only thing I'd say about doing lots of character meals is, there doesn't tend to be a lot of variation in the actual characters. You should definitely see Mickey at Cafe Mickey, he isn't guaranteed at any other meal. Having said, that, we did also see him at Lucky Nugget, along with Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Gepetto (these are also all regulars at Cafe Mickey).

If your children (or you :rotfl: ) really like the regular characters, then theres no such thing as character meal overkill!

I did think that for us but I thought 'what the heck?' lol. We're doing Inventions, Mickey's Magical Dinner & Steakhouse... so, 3 character meals. Think we'll have a non-character meal on Friday for a change lol.

We didn't see Mickey at Cafe Mickey when we were there in April! He was there when we went in but by the time we were seated and the characters came out again he wasn't there. We saw Minnie, Pluto and Mr Smee (I think).

I must admit to being just as excited as the girls when meeting the characters - I just wonder what my mother will make of it all as she is coming with us this time. I think I will stick with my plan for the Steakhouse and Cafe Mickey and then decided sometime soon about the third meal.

we saw mickey in cm when we went but it wasnt until after i realised he was the only character to not stop for a photo. there was a group of adults next to use who kept calling the characters back and standing on chairs and stuff to take funny pics with them. the other characters ignored them until it was there turn but mickey ran off and didnt come back lol
