 What is the best character meal for adults that are kids at heart? I am wanting to book a character meal for our upcoming trip, and since I don't have any kids this will be my first. I'm just worried about looking silly or getting comments from Cinderella like "My, you're a lot bigger than the other Princesses" princess: .

Which character meal would you recomend?

Thank You :wave2:

DBF and I did Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace, and they were just as interactive as they were with everyone else.

Garden Grille is great for adults who want to see the characters. Great food, Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale, and a nice quiet restaurant. :)

A late dinner at the Crystal Palace. As the kid population decreases, the character interaction increases. While it was never inappropriate, it also got a little more adult-ish. As in, Tigger was trying to ask me on a date while DH was in the bathroom. We watched Spectro while we ate and had a great time. We even have shots of us with multiple characters as the crowds were really that low and it was in July.

Chef Mickey's is so much fun that adults won't feel out of place. If you're into Pooh, Crystal Palace is similar.

:thumbsup2 Cape May Cafe for breakfast. Mickey and the gang in beach wear plus a great breakfast!

My vote goes for 1900 Park Fare! We've eaten there several times for breakfast and we never, ever feel out of place. My daughter is 17 and can be a little shy and being a teenager, is very worried about "looks". The food is also very very good here!

My favorite one too! We've also done LTT, CP, CRT (both breakfast and lunch), and 1900 Park Faire. Next we're probably trying Chef Mickey's.

Chef Mickey's is great for breakfast or dinner! It's a lot of fun.

If you want to head to a park first thing in the AM, try to character breakfast at the AK.

Dinner at LTT is nice - but no Mickey.

The Poly has a breakfast character meal which is nice too.

All of them can be a lot of fun and it's the best way to get personal pics with the characters!!!

My favorite is the Crystal Palace. :thumbsup2 Have never had a bad meal here. I find both the CM's and the characters respectful when I dine there as a solo adult and get treated just like everyone else. This is why I have both a dinner and a breakfast ADR there on my next trip!

Why oh why did they take away the Ice Cream Social??? :sad2: That was the BEST character interaction but it wasn't a whole meal. Just a great sundae and a chance for a private visit with the characters!

Ok, we also did the character dining at LTT on our last trip and have ADRs to do it again. We'll eat there NYE because we love to be in the MK that day and frankly, good TS restaurants are a bit lacking there in my opinion. :confused3

You should go to any character meal that you want! There are always plenty of adults and I really don't think you'll feel out of place anywhere!!!

I had breakfast with a friend at Cape May, and I thought it was an excellent choice for an adult character meal. It was quieter and more relaxing than other character meals I've had, the characters paid a lot of attention to us, and the food was very good.

My DH and I are big kids at heart, without kids, and we went to practically every Character Meal our last visit, and plan to do so again this time around. We never felt out of place. The characters interact with you, just as much as they do with the kids. We loved it!

For breakfast, Cape May. For dinner, it depends on which characters you want, but Chef Mickey's is always good.

FOr the best character interaction, schedule late in the meal time. As above, as the crowds thin, the character interaction increases. Goofy sat and colored with DD, Minnie danced with her, etc. You don't get as much of that during prime dinner time...and the characters are great with big kids (like me) too.

My first Character Meal was 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. DW, myself, and DS (2 months old) did this during Thanksgiving last year. We felt a little weird at first, but really had a good time.

DS slept the whole time, so it was really like adults only. Also, even if he was awake he wouldn't have know what was happening.

The table next to us had 3 college age girls. We were taking each other's pictures, and DW said to the, "It is sad that we brought our 2 month old to a Character Breakfast?" The girl replied, "Not as said as 3 college girls with no children going to a Character Breakfast." I thought that was funny. :lmao:

Liberty Tree is a good choice as well. My father and I went last year (and are going this year) and we enjoyed it.... did not feel out of place at all.

Thanks for all of the great suggestions :thumbsup2

Any others I should try?

Thanks again :wave2:

I like all the characters meals that I have been to. but my DH LOVES crystal palace...in fact I just had to rearrange all our adrs to add it into our plans.
We have been to a few of them with just the two of us....never were we made to feel uncomfortable. In fact we have seen many solo adults, and they seem to have as much fun as our party of 7 or 8!!
