We've done CP the last few time there and want to find something special for DS (who turns 5 during our stay).

Suggestions?

TIA.....

We picked Chef Mickeys for our lad (who has just turned 6) as we already had a princess booking for the girl. The reasons...

1. Monorail trip to and through the Contemporary.

2. Meeting the main man, and his friends.

3. Family photo opportunity.

4. Mickey pancakes. Daughter loves pancakes......

5. Breakfast as by 10.00 my two eat very well, but by the evening they are more likely to be flagging.

We go on 8th March so I cannot report on its success

we are choosing breakfastasaurus at AK

but thats because it features Donald and thats who my son is most anxious to meet

My 5 yo son only wants Chef Mickey's for our character meal every trip. The whole family loves it though so we just let him have his way on that one.:D

For a breakfast I would choose Donald's. For a dinner I would choose LTT. Cheif Mickey is not our favorite but most people do find it delightful. We may have just had a bad day but it is our least favorite.

When in Epcot give the Garden Grill a try. The characters are Mickey, Chip and Dale, and sometimes Pluto. They are all dressed as if they were on a farm and they interact with children beautifully. Because the characters are dressed as if they are on the farm may be nice for your son, who may be tired of all the Princesses.

They have good food and it is served family style - your son will get his own food if he doesn't want what you are having. Call the priority seating number and a cast member will tell you what they serve there.

I hope this helps!!!!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

I would like to throw in another vote for the Cape May. The characters are Goofy, Chip, Dale and sometimes Minnie. Goofy is the star here. They are dressed in Hawaiian style shirts and look really cute!

Last time we were there, Goofy was lying on the floor near the hostess stand and several kids were jumping on him getting big hugs!

Cape May seems to be less hectic and noisy then some of the other character meals. That is why we like it best.:D

We had my daughter's 4th Birthday dinner at Chef Mickey's and it was well woth the price. Plenty of Characters and a great party atmosphere. I highly recommend going there on your son's B-day and be sure to tell them it's his day. They'll bring him out a cupcake with a candle and he may even have a character help him blow it out. (Goofy helped my daughter blow out her candle...what a great B-day) If you go for breakfast tell them it's his birthday and they'll still bring him a cake and candle and sing. Tell every Cast Member you meet it's his birthday...they'll have special little things for him like sticker and such. Don't forget to tell the hotel when you check in about the B-day they may leave something special in the room for him (candy and an autographed card of Cinderella in our case!) Enjoy!

I vote for Donald's Breakfastasaurus or Garden Grill - I think these are both excellent choices for boys!

Enjoy!

(that said, I do think we need some more boyish choices for character meals)

Another vote for Cape May. We have found the best characters here.

anohter vote for Doanlds Breakfastosaurus. The theming and characters are perfect for a boy. The scout and dinosaur theme is great, and the character are the ones that boy tend like the best. Even 14 DS has this on his must do list.

We did Chef Mickey for dinner and found it to be so much fun! It was a great ending to a great day. We also did the Garden Grille Ice Cream Social, the characters were great! I think your son would have a special experience at either place.

Garden Grill definitely. Our son has always loved that.. first time he was 6 yrs old.....in 2 weeks he will be 15. He has asked to eat there again in June04. Loves the fact that Mickey is dressed in bib overalls.

Maybe try this for lunch & chef Mickeys for dinner. I hear Chef Mickeys is good also, however we have never been there.

Enjoy no matter what you do.
