We were at dhs hotel in Cambrai, which was about 2 hrs drive from dlrp, and I ideally wanted to be at our hotel before midday. As it was, we ended getting up at 7am and having breakfast with dh before he went to work, and then seemed to have everything sorted quite quick. So after twiddling thumbs for a bit, we set off at 8:50am!!!
Drive was fine, and before we knew it we arrived at hotel Cheyenne!!!!! We went in and got checked in, but as I suspected, we were too early for our room, so we asked to return after 3pm, so, I drove the car to the car park, and off we headed to the park.
At this point I will say that we had expected rain the whole of our holiday, and the day had started cloudy, so the boys had long sleeved tops on, and I had a off the shoulder jumper/top ..
Into the park, and first stop city hall for Caydens easy pass. Had a nice chat with the cms there, and then we were off!!! 1st stop emporium for an autograph book, and as we left the party train was coming to which Cayden starts getting excited so we wait and see who there is .. loads of characters!!!!!!!!!!!!
Way too many ppl around Minnie, but Finlay managed to get Suzy & Perlas autographs so a good start!!
We then wandered to the princess stage and saw Belle & her prince, so thought we would check out how this easy pass worked easy lol were directed to the exit and waited a short while before we were called over . Cay went all shy, but Fin was happy all that was needed to make his day would be Cinderella!!
As id been chattin with the cm who was English, she informed me Cinderella would be out in a couple of minutes, if we wanted to wait and then come back to the exit to see her how could we resist?!?!? Both Cinderella & her prince were English, as we were the last to see them, so they spent a lot of time with us especially Cayden, who took a shine to Cinderella! She asked Fin if he would be watching the parade, and told him she would look out for him!!!!!!!!!
So, we decided then to go and see about rides, and knew cay liked potc so went for that. A huge queue for the easy access section, but after about 15 min we got on worth it as always!! We then wandered around getting bearings and trying a few rides and went on iasw got a boat all to ourselves so I videoed the whole trip just so I could remember it!
We were getting quite warm now as it was a fab day, so headed back to the hotel to get our key and our usual room (3rd time lol). Unloaded the car, and got changed into t-shirts and then back to the park
..
Then it was time for the parade, and I wondered if Cinderella would remember fin
Yes she did and waved and blew him a kiss also, belle had her prince with her so got off for the stop (the only time in our trip rest of the time it was the beast with her) and she was the same one we had seen and she remembered fin and stroked his cheek heaven had been reached!! Had a chat with the English cm who was on the disabled section who was the one who told me about the plans for the fireworks in the summer and the night showing of mickeys party time. Nice to get such friendly cms, and as she finished at the section, actually came back and found me and wished me and the boys a lovely holiday such a nice thing to do!
Headed to Caseys for some food, then after this we had to do another Cayden favourite ride btm and follow it up with buzz I got the most awful score, but little did I know how much I could improve!!! think we did phantom manor then (another first) which was good but we were loaded at the exit, so missed the bit in the house ..
I think after that, it was getting on a bit, so we headed back to the hotel and ready for our 1st attempt at getting to the park before it opened .. would we manage it??????
