Character Dining

Try to think of it as "characters first, food second". Prioritize which characters you'd prefer to see. Fab Five (aka the Mickey and friends characters), Pooh characters, and princesses...and just take your pick of the ones that interest you the most.

Because let's face it...you really are paying a premium to dine with characters.

i have two boys 1 will be 4 & the other will be 1
last time we did chef mickey, crystral palace, ohana, cape may, tusker house, 1900 park fare for dinner
we didnt care too much for ohana so i wanted to replace that with something else
i also wanna try 1900 park fare for breakfast this time around

We always do breakfast at Crystal Palace. We like Chef Mickeys (dinner) and Tusker House (breakfast) as well.

This year we are bringing our whole family so we are doing a Princess breakfast (Askerhaus).

Ohana is our favorite character breakfast:cool1::cool1:
We are giving it up on our next trip, though, because dd3 is such a big Piglet fan. We are trying the CP for the first time and hoping it will be every bit as good as Ohana. We didnt care much for Chef Mickeys either. I prefer the family style breakfast as opposed to the buffet. So much nicer not to have to be up and down from the table while trying not to miss the characters coming by. We did 1900 Park Fare, but that was years ago....it was good from what I remember.

the only character meal we have tried is Garden Grill. we loved it. my boys were 8 & 2 at the time, and had a blast.

We've done Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys for dinner, Cinderella's Castle and Ohana for breakfast. The castle is signature but TOTALLY worth it. We had a great time and my nieces and my daughter loved it! Crystal Palace was a nicer environment than Chef Mickey's, but both are the same for food, really. Chef Mickey's I thought was better with the characters, plus it's Mickey and the gang, so that might mean something more than Pooh and friends. Ohana was a really good breakfast and Mickey was there too, but I'm not a Lilo and Stitch fan and it's about them. Having said that, the breakfast was fantastic and it was a great environment. We're doing Tusker House, CP and hopefully Garden Grill in October. The DD will be 3 then and she's really into Mickey and friends and Chip and Dale, plus she has a Pooh and Tigger puzzle and CP is so convenient being in MK.

I really like Garden Grill for both the characters and the food. I think that's my favorite. Akershus can also be fun for boys as they get showered with affection from princesses, and I also like the food there.

We love Tusker House, Crystal Palace and of course Akershus for our girls ;) I thought the food and character interaction at all 3 were wonderful. I will NEVER return to 1900PF however. YUCKY food and really snobby service.

Ohana was our favorite by far. It was the total package - great food and great characters. The buffets are just that and you will be away from your table with characters coming by as PP stated. Akershus is great for getting all the princesses in but be prepared for food your kids might not like.
