Where are the best places to go for character dining experiences? My children will be 9 and 17 and we are purchasing the Disney Dining Plan and we'll be there for 4 nights and 5 days. Thanks!

For charcter dining and those ages, who would they like to see? Do they like Pooh or Mickey? Is DD into Princesses?

DD(9) is very much into princesses and Pooh Bear.

DS(17) is more into Star Wars and Pirates.

Well then I recommend Crystal Palace, we did lunch there, it is buffet and the food was wonderful. I heard breakfast is really good and if you can get in before the park opens, you can get some nice shots in front of the castle w/o crowds.

I have two boys so we havent done Princess stuff but of course you could try to get Cindrella's castle, 1900 Park Faire at GF, or the Norway princess meal at EPCOT. I hear the princess sometimes make fusses over the boys.

You could look on allears.net to see menus.

Unfortunately there is nothing for SW or Pirates.

We really enjoyed Chef Mickey at CR, and Garden Grill at EPCOT, in case you want to see Mickey.

It is not a charcter meal but SciFi and MGM is fun, you sit in cars and watch really bad B movies and trailers from the 50s.

Have fun, hope that helps.

It's been a while (4 years), but I'll mention that I found the food at the Crystal Palace to be quite good. It's been an even longer while (almost 7 years), but I that the food at the Garden Grill to be even better! We we actually planning to go back to the Garden Grill at our last visit, but DD was 2 at the time, and absolutely freaked out over the characters, so we thought it best to cancel the GG (if she couldn't handle a big fluffy teddy bear, two large gophers would probably have pushed her over the edge).

We're trying Norway breakfast on our next trip, because the DD(6) is way into princesses, but I hear the food, not so good. We are also trying Liberty Tree Tavern because she has to see Minnie. And, we are going back to the Garden Grill.

DS(9) has no preferences, and actually seems more interested in seeing the belly dancer at Restaraunt Marakeesh (sigh).

I didn't know anything about the belly dancers. That would definitely be right up DS(17)'s alley ... Where do we find Restaurant Marakeesh?

I believe in Morroco in EPCOT World Showcase.

My favorites are LTT dinner and CP lunch/dinner. The food is good, and there is good character interaction.

Breakfast with Stitch at 'Ohana is great especially for older kids. Stitch usually causes all kinds of trouble. LTT is also great with Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Chip and Dale. The characters are only there at dinner time. Both my girls loved eating in the Castle. The Crystal Palace is good for breakfast too. Have a great time!
