If someone have gone to "Cinderella's Royal Table" and "Akershus", we would like to know wich character dinning with the princess is the best ? Last year we went to 1900 Park Fare and only saw cinderella, we would like to see more characters.

We always do both of those on our trips. We enjoy the breakfast to Norway and the lunch at CRT. There are five princesses at each one. It has been our experience that at Norway they have Belle there for the picture then Snow White, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, and Ariel come around to the tables. At CRT, Cinderella takes the picture (of course) and Snow White, Fairy Godmother, Belle (in the blue dress) and Jasmine come around to the tables. We realize that we could go to one or the other for the princess experience but we also like those meals.

I haven't done CRT, but I just got back and we did Norway for dinner. We had our picture taken with Belle and then saw Ariel, Cinderella (a rare apperance), Pochontas and Jasmine. It was our 4th character meal and I felt that the princesses did a great job of visiting us and our table. My 2 yr. DD was very, very happy and impressed. We had the princesses sign one of my DD's favorite Disney princess books instead of an autograph book. They really seemed to like that and now we have a great souviner.

Next time we'll do CRT.

we have done both numerous times, I love both but If I had to choose Id do Akershus. (no Cinderella there at all tho) we love the way the princesses flow better.princess:

I have had luck in Akashus (?) and seen cinderella along with the other princesses. My daughter seems to enjoy akashus as all of her favorite princesses are there (mulan especially).
This November I am going to the castle for lunch. Gotta take my little girl to the castle at least once - but we are still going to akashus for dinner on a different night ;)

We've done both Akerhaus and CRT several different times. To answer which you might like best depends on the age of your children & what they're into. If they're old enough to totally appreciate and remember the castle experience, then I say go for it, at least once. I'd recommend a breakfast or lunch at CRT because during dinner, the character interaction is really limited. We first did the castle when DD was only 4 years old. I wish we'd waited until 5 or 6 to make sure she really "got it". Now it's not as big a deal to her because I think she thinks every body does it. :)

We've done all three meals of the day at Akerhaus and I prefer breakfast: traditional American breakfast food that I know my daughter will eat and the character interaction is wonderful. It's half the price of the castle, so all that's missing is SOME of the atmosphere. Akerhaus in Norway is adorable on the inside too. We've seen every princess except Cinderella. We've also seen Mulan, Alice, Mary Poppins and Jane (Tarzan's girl).

I guess I'm trying to say that you won't go wrong with whichever you choose. If you are doing the dining plan, just pay for CRT out of pocket. It won't be worth 2 table service credits.

We have done both but still prefer 1900 Park Fare (buffet) at the GF hotel. We went on 9/20 and saw Cindy, Prince Charming, The fairy Godmother and the 2 step sisters were 2 cute! We also did norway (pre-plated meal) and felt rushed to eat and leave. At CRT (pre-plated meal) we could not see the show and only saw Cindy downstairs for a photo and the fairy godmother and the mice were upstairs for a floor show. We will definately pass on this one next time. $ for $, 1900 Park Fare was the best!!

Hi. We've never been to CRT, but were at Akerhus. I would definately NOT go back there. First, it was a crowded nightmare outside Norway waiting to be called for our ADR. :crowded: We were ushered in and took pics with Ariel in the front and then escorted to our table. We were not sitting at our table for more than 5 minutes when the waiter returned with our drink order and proceeded to spill it all over DD. :sad2: It was an accident of course, but it kind of set the tone for the rest of the experience. They offered her new clothes in their Norway shop, which doesn't carry anything for toddlers. So instead of having pictures taken with her pretty princess outfit on, she has pics with the princesses in a bright yellow shirt 2 sizes too big for her. We did get to see Snow White, Aladdin, Jasmine, Princess Aurora, Belle, and Ariel while we were there.
Lastly, I can't remember the exact menu, but the food was not exactly great for a picky toddler and the adults in our party said the food left a lot to be desired. All in all, I'm going to try CRT or 1900 PF next time around and hope for a less clumsy wait person! :rotfl:

We just got back and we had 4 out of 6 meals being Character Meals.
We ate at Norway's Akershus on 9/19 at the late dinner and we had pictures made with Belle, (there is no photopass photographer present) The pictures were about $30 as you get 1-8x10 and 2 smaller ones. We chose not to get the photographs as Cinderella is DD's Favorite. We also seen Pocohontas, Ariel (in a dress) Sleeping Beauty-Aurora, and Jasmine.

We did also go to the GF on our last night for the Cinderella and Friends Dinner at 1900 Park Fare and seen Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tramaine (Stepmother) and the 2 step sisters.

The food was GREAT! Although they were running behind about 1/2 hr to 45 min for reservations.

If you purchase the picture pack at Akerhaus, there is a photopass number printed on the side of the large picture (same at CRT). I keyed in that number and added those pics to my photopass CD. I was able to add Belle's autograph to my DD greeting picture. For the CRT photos, I added a signature to one and the CRT logo to another before ordering.

I just returned from Disney and we ate lunch at Akershus on Sunday, Sept. 23. We saw Belle for pictures, then Ariel, Alice, Aurora, and Cinderella came to the table. The food was good, the atmosphere was great. This was my first princess meal as I was with the girls (all adults, no kids) and my DS isn't into the princesses.:wizard: :wizard:

if you dont go with kids, you look awkward

That is absolutely not true. Many adults only choose to go to the character meals and everyone at Disney makes sure that they have as magical a time as the families with children.

Wow, what an untrue statement. If that's the case, call us awkward. My wife and I went to WDW in May and had Dinner at Crystal Palace. It was so much fun. As a matter of fact, we are going in Dec and made breakfast reservations at Akershus and are looking forward to it. :thumbsup2 I hope we get to see Ariel.

JMHO, i think nothing beats the experience of the castle and getting the photo package is a nice touch!!

I resent that remark! I really wish people who have that type of opinion would just keep it to themselves. You must have heard the phrase "if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all."

We're going to the Akershus for the first time for breakfast and we are looking forward to it. and "we" are 3 adults who are kids at heart!
