Character dining and Photo Pass question

At the character dining experience, such as Chef Mickey's and Hollywood & Vine....I know they take your party's photo before you enter the restaurant. Can we put this on a photopass card? Will they give us one there? I know that they bring the photos around to your table and try to get you to purchase them there.....is this the only thing you can do?

Also, is there Photopass photographers that take pictures during the character dining experience?

I am pretty sure that if you buy the photo packages, they will then add it to your photopass card. If you do not buy the pictures, they will not. Hollywood & Vine did not have any photo packages when we were there. The only places we've found there were Chef Mickey's, Akershus, and breakfast at AK.

Unless things have changed, there are no photopass photographers at the restaurants.

That seems silly for you to pay the $100 or more for the photopass then have to pay whatever a package cost on top to get them. So what does the photopass save you? They should just give you a photocard that you can add to the photopass when you get home. Chef Mickey's pictures are usually very good but I won't be buying them and paying for our photopass too.

If you find out anything more please let us know. We preordered our photopass and aren't doing the share thing.

We will not be purchasing the package either. But I will probably pre-order the CD.....I was hoping the Chef Mickey's photo would be put on it.

You can buy the picture package at the Character Breakfasts/Dinners and then enter the code on back of the pictures, into your Photopass account (you cannot get the code without purchasing the package however). From that point on, you can add borders and such to your picture.

Photopass Photographers are all over the Parks (and in the Waterparks), that is where you will utilize your Photopass the most, as that is where the opportunity to do so exists.

Test Track is the only ride that you can scan your Photopass card and get ride pictures, all other rides that photograph riders have packages that must be purchased (and it is my understanding the ride pictures, with the exception of Test Track, cannot be added to your Photopass account). We bought the package of DS/DH on Dinosaur last year, and it was not cheap!

You can also use your Photopass to purchase a "Resort" photography setting. The normal sitting fee is $50.00, however, if you pre-purchase your CD and bring your receipt, the sitting fee is only $25.00. You would have to search to find what WDW Resorts are part of the session. I do know the Poly, GF, SSR, and soon AKL are included as a choice. We are doing this, as we have only ever had one formal family picture in 20 years. These pictures will be added to my Photopass account, borders can be added, I can print at my local Sam's Club... we are excited about this option!
