Character call ???

Can you only get a character call if you are staying on-site? We aren't staying in a Disney hotel, but I would even pay to have a phone call made to DD if I had to. Any thoughts appreciated!

Character calls are for Disney resort guests.

You can download things like THIS however.

Thanks Sarah, that is a great idea too! I did do a google search and a couple sites came up that do phone calls, one for $2.49. The problem with the two sites is this: Because the trip is a surprise, I want a phone call time for when we get to the airport, saying something like "It's me Mickey, and we are so excited that you are coming to DL to see us!" I haven't found that option yet, but I will keep looking, and your idea might work also!

If you book your trip with Disney Travel then you get one character call to schedule whenever you would like it to whatever number you would like.

I wonder if we could get one when I call to order our parkhoppers, WOC dinner tickets, Mickey Hall., and Happiest Haunts Tour? Or do I have to book a hotel? I guess it's worth a phone call to ask them!

We had one done to our house one time, we did have to pay for it. I don't recall it having to do with staying on site. But we might have that year. I could have sworn there was a way to just have them call you...

this will be nice! but I can't find info on DL web site, does anyone knows how to book this?
we are not staying on disney property, we got our package through costco - it did not include a character call but i wouldn't mind paying a little extra for it.
