Character breakfast?

I've searched the official website with no luck for info on character breakfasts at Universal. My DS will turn 4 on the day we check out of PBR and head to AKL. It is a Sunday. I was hoping to do a character breakfast at Universal, head to the Shrine for Mass, and check into the AKL late morning. We have tickets for Hoop De Doo that night, but I thought it would be extra special to celebrate his birthday at both USO and WDW. Any ideas on a special breakfast on a Sunday morning?

I beleive they do a character breakfast at the Sunset Grill in the HRH. The only characters are Scooby and Shaggy which we saw everyday in the parks. I wouldn't bother.

Unless things have changed since March, character meals are dinner only and at the hotels not the parks. Trattoria del Porto has a very nice Sunday buffet (at PBH) full breakfast with omlettes and pancakes fruit baked goods...the works! Just no characters. The dinner character meals are select nights at each resort. We have been to the one at Hard Rock and Portofino and the characters we saw were scooby and shaggy and woody woodpecker, beetle bailey. The kids loved it, the interaction was great. Great for a first experience.

They used to have a terrific character meal at Confisco's at IOA but this has been discontinued. I hope someday they bring it back!
