Just saw rD post the same about adding 5K spots to all races, beginning with W&D 2026, on Facebook. I

Now posting to their socials. I guess in theory, they could add enough people to fill a new corral, have starts going to 6:15 or even 6:30. I think this is going to cause even more stress around photo ops though.

From Reddit, and I think this is from the Expo, looks like they’re doing that thing where they have three different fonts and maybe offering clues to theming. Definitely not a villains year.

The font of the date makes me think of the font writing of the Rocketeer movie posters ( similar bit not the same. No electric bolts) . Not sure how that could fit into W&D theme though??? INTERESTING

The date font in, particularly the dot in the middle of the O, makes me think of the Ashoka show script.

Can't imagine that is a theam though as there is very little wineing or dining in that show.

I think the theme looks a lot like a Great Gatsby type thing with flappers and whatnot so maybe Tiana in her Tiana’s Place/palace era? Looks very art deco

A bit off topic but Marathon related...will this affect the crowds at MK on THursday the 22nd at all? I originally booked Oct 19-23 because the crowd levels were low but now the 21st is a 7 and the 22nd is an 8. We had planned MK on our last day Thursday the 22nd. Thanks for any input.

The races don‘t really make a difference. You’re more likely to be impacted by the after hours Halloween parties.

I'm actually hoping that there is a Halloween party that evening to keep the crowds even lower first thing in the morning. We're happy doing early entry/rope drop and being out before 4 with a toddler and infant. This trip is all about the toddler

We ended up at MK the day of a Halloween party with a 3 year old in October of 2024 and it was great for her as the lines were really low.

In the afternoon they didn't even make us get off Dumbo as there was no line at all, was able to ride over and over again.

Only real problem we had was just before we left people with costumes started showing up for the party, and there was some one I a good Jasmine one, she was upset she couldn't go talk to Jasmine like she had in EPCOT the day before.

I was planning on the 5k and the half but this may push me to do the challenge!
