Character Breakfast Selection

We have done Plaza Inn but not Storytellers and I thought Plaza Inn was awesome. We got 10 characters and they all made it to our table and I thought the food was good! The had lots of yummy fresh fruit which I really loved and the GF waffles and eggs were really good. Also liked that we didn't have to leave the park to have a character breakfast, though if you were already in DCA, Storytellers would be easy too. We were new to DL at the time so weren't looking for rare characters, just wanted to see alot and we did! They spent time with us too doing cute/funny things, being patient with photos, signing autographs, etc.... The only bad thing was that we were seated next to the kitchen/buffet area and I took photos into the iight because of where we were seated, so they didn't turn out very well

We too have purchased the vouchers for a character meal, we are choosing to go to Plaza Inn because we will be in DL Park on Christmas day and thought Plaza Inn would be a great Christmas morning breakfast. We have dined at Plaza Inn a couple of times and yes the food is not excellent, but we still enjoy it, but we love it there because we see characters that we normally don't see when we are at WDW. As for Story Teller's the food and characters are great, however, the last time we had breakfast there, only 1 character came to our table, all of the characters were present, but only one would stop and say hi, we even waited an hour after we finished our meal to see them all. We talked to the manager about it and they said that the characters are not guaranteed to come to any of the tables which I thought was a bunch of crock since you pay a lot of $$ to see them in the first place. We are planning on dining at Story Teller's on our trip but this time we decided to try out the dinner.

Goofys is my vote. Had nothing but good experiences there.

Plaza Inn...the first couple of times we went was nice. But we're an adult only group so the last couple of times we've gotten passed over by some of the characters. Once was like okay it's end of shift. Second time though is a trend for me so I'm not in a hurry to go back there.

Storytellers I keep meaning to do for breakfast but only so far have been for dinner. Maybe I'll do it this upcoming trip.

For me, the characters at Plaza Inn are hit or miss. In 5 visits over the last 3 years, I've had 2 great with plenty of characters, 1 with about 5 characters (same as you see at the other locations) and 2 with only 2 characters in 90 mins, despite asking the handlers for help.

To me, Plaza Inn has the lowest quality food, and it is "self service."

Storyteller's, you will see 5-6 characters, but they aren't all the top characters. We did Storytellers this week. We had Chip, Dale, Pluto, Koda, Kenai, and Brer Fox. But the food was awesome. And you had servers to refill drinks, clear plates, bring fresh utensils, and assist with needs.

Our preferences is usually Surfs Up with Mickey. Food is good, buffet is kid friendly, yet has plenty of items for adults, you get Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy, and STitch. Sometimes Goofy shows up too. The servers are great and friendly.

Goofy's is fun, and has a great selection of food. You will get Goofy's and 4 additional characters. The servers do a great job. The place is huge, so you may not be close to the action.

For us, if it is mainly adults, we do Storytellers, add in a few kids, we do Surfs Up, or maybe Goofy's? If my granddaughter asks specifically for it, we will still do Minnie's, but it is my last choice.

Agree with all of this! I've posted about it before, but after two truly bad experiences at Minnie's, I would have a really hard time doing it again.

Surf's Up is actually our favorite. We also really enjoy Storyteller's. Had great experiences at both.

I've never been to the Plaza Inn breakfast but in July we went to Storytellers and the food was really good. They have this salted caramel french toast that's out of this world delicious! And if you don't like french toast they have a pot of the Carmel sauce that you can put on pancakes or Mickey waffles as well as a strawberry compote and whipped cream. This place has been put on my must do list! The character interaction was great as well. They came around to our table at least 3 times. Chip, Dale & Pluto were always playing games and sneaking up on me or DD and had us laughing the entire time. It was the best character meal I've been to hands down.
