Character Breakfast Before Flight?

We are staying at the AoA and don't leave until 12:10pm. Does anyone think we would have enough time to do breakfast at either the Poynesian or Beach Club Resort before we leave?

Thank you!

Maybe with a taxi or driving yourself. DME will pick you up 3 hours before your flight so it'd have to be early.

I wouldn't if you are taking DME because it looks like the character breakfasts at 'Ohana and Cape May start at 7:30. Your pick up time will be approx 3 hours before your flight time so figure about 9 AM. The time listed on the paper work is when the bus is scheduled to leave AoA so you need to be at the bus stop 15 minutes earlier just in case the bus is early and you will also have to allow travel time to get back to your resort, pick up any carry ons you may have left at luggage assistance and a last bathroom stop. Even with the very first seating you would need to watch the clock pretty closely to make sure you aren't running late.

Although it is tempting, I would not chance it. There are too many factors to go wrong. I usually have similar departure times and I just spend the morning relaxing at the resort, since the previous days have usually been spent running around the parks.

We did this one trip. We were staying at Port Orleans and had a flight that left around noon. We did airline check in at the hotel and then caught a bus to MK. We walked from there to the Contemporary and Chef Mickeys. After breakfast we caught a cab to the airport. Honestly, I wouldn't do it again. In addition to the extra cost, I was too rushed and stressed the entire morning to really enjoy myself. The kids liked it! I do like mid day departures, though. I would probably just find breakfast at the hotel.

I agree with the others that I wouldn't chance it. Even with an ADR as early as 7:30, it doesn't really leave time to enjoy your breakfast and get back to AoA by your DME pick up time. Also, there's no guarantee you would be seated right away (even with an opening time ADR) as unexpected delays can/do happen.

Honestly, I would do it only if I were staying at one of those resorts...and, once, though we were staying at the Poly, we had to leave 'Ohana to catch our flight without getting our breakfast because of long delays being seated. That was a sad breakfast at the airport. :)

Your flight is at 12:10 or you expect DME to pick you up around 12:10? If the latter, you'd have enough time. If your flight is at 12:10, you can expect to be picked up around 9:10, and I'd agree with PPs that you wouldn't have enough time.
