Ok it's me again with another question...

Will characters sign t-shirts?

I just bought us all t-shirts ($5ea on sale at Dis store) to wear to MK and was hoping to get the characters to "sign" out shirts.

Thanks in advance.

I have never done this but I believe I have seen it done by others. Make sure the pen/marker you give to the characters is large because it is hard for them to hold small regular size pens/markers.

I read somewhere that characters will sign hats, t-shirts, etc. as long as you are not wearing them...

And if you do this, I would buy a "fat" sharpie marker.

Have fun!

Characters are not allowed to sign clothing if you are wearing it. Also, make sure whatever you want to have signed is something 'Disney'. A character will sign a 'Gap' hat (or some such other name brand) but only on the underside of the brim.

Take a fat laundry marker with you, at least that way there will be a hope of the signature staying for a while....Dont forget to iron over the marker before your first washing otherwise the marker may not 'set' well.

Also, have a hard item to put inside the shirt (like a book). This will make it easier for the character to sign a neat autograph. It will also prevent the marker from bleeding through. Oh, and you will probably have to hold the shirt for them and stretch it a bit. If you've ever tried writing on fabric you know it's a bit difficult. Imagine how it must be with furry paws!;)

My DD has a hat that is signed and also a very special t-shirt from the Lion King. We used a Sharpie Rub-a-Dub marker and it worked great. So far it hasn't fadded. With the t-shirt she was not wearing it and we had a huge book underneath it.

We do themed shirts. She has one with princesses and the princess authograhps. We have one with the fab 5 (6). We have her winnie the pooh.

We also use a varity of colors of Sharpies (depending on the color of the shirt).

they should....just buy the super thick Sharpie so thwey can grip it and it'll show up

You know...on my first trip to WDW, I brought one of the Sharpie pens. A red one. Had it attached to my dd's autograph book with a long shoelace. Mickey was our first character, in MGM. You should have seen his reaction to the pen. He, very gingerly picked it up, looked at it and shook his head. His 'helper' told me that some characters, especially those with the white hands, get very nervous around our permament Sharpie pens!!! I bought a different pen, still a fat one, just not a Sharpie. Didn't want to upset Mickey and Minnie!!
