Changing WOC Dessert party group number?

We have had a one of our party drop out of our travel plans and so we need to reduce the group size for our WOC dessert party booking. I've been able to change other reservations through My Plans but not this one. The only online option option is to cancel. Is it possible to make the change? We are a month out.

That happened to us with Plaza Inn dining. I went to Plaza Inn a couple of weeks before to ask what to do. They said to just tell them when I check in. That's what I did and there was no problem and no penalty.

World of Color works differently than a character meal. I am not sure if something changed, but when I went last you had to prepay for the tickets. At least the official rule is you need to cancel/change 24 hours before or you will not get a refund.

We had a change and could modify through the app. If that doesn't work for you try contacting them through the app.

Is it sold out for your date? If not I’d rebook with the new party size and then cancel the original reservation

OK ...just an update for anyone who finds themselves several weeks out with an extra dessert party booking. Quote from the online chat "To modify a WOC Dessert party reservation it must be canceled and rebooked if available".

I suggested the potential issue - ie someone might grab my cancellation before I can rebook itl - and then suggested that they were essentially telling me there was not refund if I wanted to be sure of keeping my table. Answer :"correct".

When I suggested that seemed strange, given the booking was still weeks away, I got the same bunch of messages again. With a 'maybe the cast member at the podium will refund you but maybe not.'

Looks like I'll be keeping a table for 6. Super unhappy about this, not so much because I won';t get a refund, but because it's stupid!
