Changing when daylight savings starts?

My FIL told me starting next year Day light savings would start earlier and last longer....I hadn't heard this so did a little searching and found this site

So what does everyone think? I personally hate it! The thought of it getting darker any earlier! UGH!
How will this effect kids and sports? let alone all of our electronics!

Actually, we'd have MORE daylight. The plan is to start EDT 3 weeks earlier and have it last 1 week longer - so more daylight in the evening hours.

really? Guess I was thinking it would start in Oct. Is that when we turn them back? I get so confussed with the time change to begin with! LOL!

just looked it up...hey this might not be so bad! It will start in march and then go a week longer in Oct! so Halloween it should still be light! If I get this right!

In 2005 and 2006, Daylight Saving Time begins for most of the United States at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of April. (See chart below.) Time reverts to standard time at 2 a.m. on the last Sunday of October.

Beginning in 2007, Daylight Saving Time is extended one month and begins for most of the United States at:
2 a.m. on the Second Sunday in March
to
2 a.m. on the First Sunday of November.

I lkie the change, the months from Jan-April go so slow, maybe this would help seem like Spring is coming early.

I have been mixed about the change, but when you think about it there are a few weeks before the current change to DST in April when the days really could use a few extra daylight hours.

Personally, I like it when it gets darker earlier. I hate losing that hour of sleep for "spring forward" and I hate that extra light because it gets so darn hot.

I'm eagerly awaiting "fall back". I can tell it's coming now, it's actually getting dark about 8:15 now! Yea! Stupid US government, trying to tell the world how to run the hours of the day now.
