Changing ressies on code day

So now that I've decided to split my nine night stay -

Has anyone waited for code day to see what rates were available for the deluxes before they changed their ressies?

Or does everyone change them ahead of time?

I just have a problem leaving an $800 deposit for 2 rooms at the poly now, when hopefully the rate will be much less than that.
