Can someone please help me out here?

Im trying to a do to get to stay at WDW campgrounds (tents) in Nov. However, the system is built not to let me stay weekend only so it shows unavailable unless I reserve 6 nights. I think thats a bit callous (just MHO) for a local wanting to stay on-site a few nights.

My ? is, can I make the reservation and then remove a couple of nights, to get in the spot? If I reserve all 6 nights it lets me in. If not, it shows unavailable. Can I just reserve it and remove say, 3 nights, with no penalties?

To me, its less about the price and more about availability. I just dont want to pay for 6 nights if I dont have to. I dont mind paying more per night if it were just available.

Any help? I tried to find the policy but their policy page shows no document right now.

This is the only way we are able to book weekends anymore for the campground it seems. The last 3 times we booked a site we have had to book a week and then call and drop days. I have even spoken to the reservation agent about it literally 5 minutes after making the res. online. They always tell me I am not the only person doing it. They have made the reservation system to only book weeks, not weekends until right before the weekend in order to fill the Sunday through Thursday slots.

Book the site for the week. Room only. No tickets.
You will be asked for 1 night deposit to hold the reservation.
With a room only reservation, you have up until 5 days before the check in date to adjust or cancel with no penalties.
Just call back in a day or 2 and adjust your ressie for only the days that you actually want.

Thanks guys!

I had a feeling the system was a bit "odd". Clearly the dates that "are not available" are NOT reserved, so I knew something was up.

Thanks!

Yeah I don't get it either. I had to book a month to get the Thanksgiving week and then call back and cancel. The cast member at reservations didn't even miss a beat when I called to cancel, she was very polite.
