Changing Reservations - How does this affect FastPass selections?

Here's the deal....I booked a package at the WDW Resorts including tickets. My 60 days out hit and I made FastPass selections.

I got a better deal at the Swan and booked that hotel. Friday I'm going to go online and buy my park tickets through disneyworld.com. Will my FastPass selections attach to those new tickets before I cancel my package?

If not, am I able to do that so I don't lose my selections?

Yes.

This will be assured if you buy your new tickets before you cancel the original pkg.

There won't really be anything that you need to do.
(Other than check to see if your new tickets show up in your MDE.)
FP+ reservations are linked to tickets, but not any particular tickets.
If you have, say, 8 days of FP+ booked, and you have at least 8 days worth of valid tickets in your MDE, all is well.
