I was able to modify it online without having to call. Log in to My Disney Experience on the website and click on your plans. Under the hotel reservation there’s a button that says Change Reservation. It gives you the option to change the room type, the offer type (such as to apply a discount), or the entire hotel.
If you cancel it and then try to rebook, you could lose what you had....you might do better by calling Disney and see if they an modify your reservation. But I would also see what other people suggest as well![]()
This is probably a dumb question, but does your account know if you're an annual pass holder? Like it's linked? I don't have one, so it's saying no discounts are available when I try that. But I'm considering getting one to get the discount. I saw online that you should be able to reserve it as an AP even if you don't have it yet, to and show it at the front desk when you check in.Thank you!

Just wondering how it knows you are a Disney visa cardholder? I paid for our package using my disney visa and I am hoping if they give a discount for using it, I can change my offer on my disney experience. When I hit offers now, it just says there are no offers available to me. I am hoping if they drop a discount for disney visa it will let me change the offer.I'm not sure about AP because I've never had one but it does recognize I'm a Disney Visa holder so I would assume it would recognize AP holders. I'm not sure how to handle it if you plane to upgrade to an AP when you arrive at disney though.

I called to try and apply the AP discount to an existing room-only reservation (did not have the option online) and was told I could not do it since there is no availability elsewhere, even though I had a room already. There is no availability right now (which I have a hard time believing is the case). Spent too many hours trying to simply plan a vacation. No dining ADRs at 60 months out. Planning expensive vacations should not be this much work. Hollywood studios here we come. We’ll give you our money.
This is not new. In order to "apply" the discount, there has to be availability as if you were making a new booking. If there is availability, they will be able to apply the discount. Note that for years, Disney has been very selective in what resorts and rooms get discounted. Even when there is availability, many resorts and rooms are excluded - we know because they never come up in the searches with Special Offers. Disney has been only discounting those rooms that they are having a very difficult time selling.I called to try and apply the AP discount to an existing room-only reservation (did not have the option online) and was told I could not do it since there is no availability elsewhere, even though I had a room already. I get it. I used to go at least once a year and sometimes more (when we had APs), and we have not been since July 2020 and have no plans to go back. The value proposition (not just in terms of resorts but the entire vacation experience) is not there for us anymore, compared to other types of vacations.I agree. We are planning a vacation in January and cannot believe the prices of everything. I am constantly asking myself if I should just cancel the whole thing. So much more money for a vacation here and they give you so much less but they can do this because people, including myself keep coming!
