changing pickup from Disney hotel to an airport pickup question

I'm considering just staying at Universal before my 4/29 cruise on the Fantasy. If I decide to change to have DCL pick us up at the airport instead of the Yacht Club how does that impact our boarding group? We currently have group 2, I don't care if they change us to a later one, but will they? If they do will I then get a new boarding group PDF from DCL, or do I have to go into my booking and pick one? Thanks!

I think someone reported a similar scenario back in the winter; as I recall, once they changed to the transfers from the airport they lost their "no PAT" status and the low boarding group. DCL does not assign PAT/boarding groups for guests taking DCL transfers from the airport. You'll need to select a PAT, and if within the 30-day window there may only be later PATs available. The boarding group is directly tied to the PAT.
