Changing Palo time onboard

So we are doing Alaska this August and I got things booked a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately I just got an email that they changed our excursion time. In Skagway, our excursion isn’t scheduled to end until 5:45, but we have Palo at 6pm (that was the only available time when we booked). I don’t really want to change the date because 1) it’s Frozen night, which was the menu we were least interested in, and 2) more importantly, it’s my parents actual anniversary. Obviously we want time to get cleaned up and changed after the excursion. When I get on board do you think we can get them to delay the Palo time? I can’t search on the app to see if another time opens up. I know the manager usually has more flexibility but it seems things are going to be busy that sailing, so don’t know if it will be possible? (Also changing the excursion isn’t really possible as it was already our second choice, with our first one being fully booked by Silver day.)

We have found that things are usually somewhat flexible, you can call or stop by the Maitre d desk at Palo's directly. We actually changed days with no issue while on the Fantasy.

We had to do this on our last cruise because they switched the shows around and the new night of the Frozen show landed when we were booked for Palo dinner. We got it changed without issue.

Palo manager was seating next to the Dining team at Promenade Lounge on embarkation day.

We were able to “move” our reservations for both brunch and diner from one day to another, so definitely some availability on board.

So far the Palo dining room was never full and our waiter actually recommended that we checked back at the podium on later days to make a on-the-spot dining reservation, as they still had lots of availabilities. Probably related to the fact these are low-Platinum cruises (both are 7-nights Med).
