Hi !

I have booked everything. Hotel, Tickets everything ....:thumbsup2

My last plan was to get to DLP with the TGV from Cologne to DLP directly.:cool1:

But now there are only trains available which are too early and way to expensive. :confused3

For example:

Cologne - DLP with TGV 328,- € for both ways :scared1:

There is still the opportunity to take the train to Paris and then the RER to DLP

Cologne - Paris (Nord) 196,- € for both ways :thumbsup2

This is a fair price for 4 persons but I have to buy tickets for the train in Paris to DLP. :confused3

Did anyone do this trip from Paris (Nord) to DLP ? Is it practicable with two children ? :confused3

It would be great to hear your oppinion.

.....and as always....sorry for my horrible English !

Done that a lot ...
So the easyest way to get to DLP from Paris Nord ...
Don't go to station end of the platform, prefer to take the staircase down around where you're in open air.Follow the signs to the RER, there are tickets machines on the left and right side before the station 'doors' Tickets are around 6.5 euros pp...
Pass the 'doors', go straigth to the second staircases, go down , take first train for 1 station to "Chatelet - Les Halles", change train follow RER A signs (it might be on the same platform, but other side) Take RER A that goes to Marne-La-Vallée ...

The whole trip is around 45 minutes, depending on the time and day of your arrival , until you get on the RER A , it might be very busy and crowded. After that well it's a common commuter train(not specially fun and clean).

A lot of people do this with children.

I took the RER from Paris to DLP and back again one Saturday in October. It was pretty easy and convenient, but as the PP said, it's a normal commuter type train so there isn't anything to really do. It took about 45 minutes.

The only concern I had was going back to Paris at or after park closing (10 pm). It didn't feel entirely safe (no sign of any security in the trains or on the platforms). Nothing happened and there were other families on the train, so it must be okay most of the time. Still, if I had been traveling alone, I think I would have been pretty nervous the entire time.

Thanks for your help ! :thumbsup2

That sounds good. :cool1:

But what about buying tickets for the RER ? Can I buy them in advance or is it easy to get them at the train station ?

:wizard:

I always buy the tickets at the station, for the return trip I try to buy them in the morning before entering the park to avoid an eventual line when I have a train to catch ...

There was an automated ticket kiosk at the train station in Paris that was pretty easy to use.

Once we got to DLP we also bought our return tickets in the morning at an actual ticket window.

OK.....

I´ve just booked the Thalys from Cologne to Paris. :thumbsup2

I hope everything will be ok in Paris and that we can find the right RER to DLP. :lmao:

:wizard:

Just follow what I said (look at the linked map) and it should easy ...
Have a nice stay
